'Missing Base Game' when the game is owned

Right now, I'm trying to enter the Duke Nukem Forever DLC giveaways. I bought the game pretty much because of all the DLC giveaways going on, and even though I've purchased the game, installed it, and even played it, it says that I am 'missing base game' for these DLCs. Can anyone explain why, or are there others sharing a similar problem? And if so, how can I fix it? Thanks for any help, and I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place.

steamgifts.com/sync

(too lazy to make clickable sorry, just copy paste) it'll allow you to sync your account so you can enter them.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I was looking for something like that, but I couldn't find it. I figured it'd be under account, but I didn't see any other option then updating email address. I digress though. Thanks again for the help. ^_^
