What is your beset movie ever? why is it best for you? plot, characters, jokes, philosophy, special effects?
my "Best Movie Ever" is Pirate Radio. I like how through all troubles they still continued to broadcast "forbidden music" and, I dont want to spoil it much but, its awesome to see how everyone supported them at the end.
Share your movie experiences :) make a good recommendation

Strike Fight Club, add One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and Seven Samurai, and we've got a winner.

wrong, the best movie is that one with Sasha AND Belladonna.

how is he wrong then, a movie with sasha and belladonna still falls into the "every movie with sasha grey" group.

Shutter Island. But the best thing I've ever seen is BBC's TV series Sherlock. Do yourself a favor and watch it, it's only 6 episodes.

Sherlock is pretty good alright, every episode is like a film because of the length of them. It's a pity that it wont be back for another 12 months though.

Less than 12 months actually :P Even though they delayed the shooting of s3 2 (or more?) times, I think it should be in July or so.

Inception

Inception was really disappointing and pretty mediocre specially taking into account how much talent, good actors and resources Christopher Nolan had to make it. The BSO is brilliant tho.

Gladiator i liked.

Two awesome movies. Gladiator is probably my favorite of all time.

Well just to avoid the usual "The godfather" and "casablanca" references, i'm gonna recommend "Barry Lyndon" by Stanley Kubrick. Great movie, specially if you are an history geek.

Cidade de Deus is pretty good too.

Mmm... another non-constantly-referenced-in-top-list movies that i enjoyed/rated high are Black Swann, Match Point, Mystic River, American Beauty, As Good As It Gets, In the name of the father... City of life and death is pretty good too and you probably haven't seen it.

If you want more recommendations, i suggest you to join Filmaffinity and rate some movies, and check other peoples ratings.

If you want to check my profile for my scores, you can look for "Nico", or "nicolasete".

After that I'd say Inception.

My favourites include:
Monty Python Holy Grail
Monty Python Life of Brian
Gladiator
Bruce Almighty
The Shining
+more (I don't really have an absolute 'favourite' more just ones I really like)

As is pretty obvious from that list, I'm like comedy films. Gladiator I like because some of the fight scenes are incredible and it is a quite moving film. The Shining - I dunno why I like it, I just do.
