What happened to the Valve Index VR Kit Giveaway?

I assume cg deleted the giveaway and removed the item from the list of available giveaways, because there is no way for Steamgifts to check if the winner received the hardware.
Edit: Too easy to abuse the CV system. Same as with Steam gift cards. Regular users can not create a giveaway for them, cg can.

Well, that's disappointing. I mean, I know I wasn't going to win anyway, but that was an exciting one to enter.

It's hard to speak about it without to "calling out" someone.

Let's say "It were possible that the hardware never reach the winner".
