I had a roccat kave, i used it for a year until it begin to screw up... At the begening i was impress by the surround effect and the bass effect, after a few month the bass effect didn't worked well anymore... And there's something relly annoying i didn't notice at first but when u don't listen to anything on your computer, instead of total silence you have a annoying background noise...

I defenitly wouldn't recommend this headset, i'm not maniac but i take care a minimum of my stuff so i'm very disapointed to had to buy a new headset after a year...

Now I have a Steelseries Siberia V2 that is very comfortable only 2.0 but i don't regret my 5.1 because it have a really nice sound for gaming

You should get a quality mic and headphones separate. Get something like the blue snowball mic and a good pair of sennheiser phones in your price range. It will be infinitely better then any "gaming headset".
