Professor Marston & the Wonder Women
The story of psychologist William Moulton Marston, and his polyamorous relationship with his wife and their mistress who would inspire his creation of the superheroine, Wonder Woman.

Didn't get to finish it because my wife had other plans.

Funnily enough that movie came out the same year as Wonder Woman (2017), so some people were confused. Welcome to my WL.

Ha! I can imagine the confusion, especially if they started watching it.

I've seen the trailer both times I watched Oppenheimer at the cinema. Looks good but as someone who hasn't seen the other ones I wasn't as hyped as the trailer wanted me to be. Welcome to my WL.

I watched a movie called Oldboy. It’s a 2003 Korean film and ending was messed up but good movie overall

Oldboy is absolutely one of my favs. Would've loved to see the re-release at the cinema last month but unfortunately that was only a US thing. Definitely messed up but so great! Welcome to my WL.

I see that you are a lover of different films, so if you haven't watched it, then I will recommend this one.
A sad and difficult film, but it left a deep mark on my soul. I recently reviewed it.

Elemental. I was skeptic at first about the concept, but it’s a nice feel good animation movie.

I love the original trilogy (yes, even Army of Darkness (1992) so I've been a bit hesitant about watching Evil Dead (2013). But I've heard that Evil Dead Rise (2023) is quite good, so I'm gonna have to watch those two. And I gotta get on the Exorcist sequels, too. Only seen the original so far. Welcome to my WL.

Don't know why people categorize it as a "television special" instead of a movie, because at 53 minutes it's definitely over the 45 minute cut-off for feature length movies, but I definitely plan on watchin this. Welcome to my WL.

I guess you don't look at the movies thread on here too often. I don't care how old a movie is, if it's good, it's good. For example, I've seen a Western from 1926 last week and it instantly became on of my favourite Westerns ever. So My Neighbour Totoro being from 1988 definitely won't scare me off. :D

You’re right, I’ve let the movies side of life slip but skimmed a couple pages of this discussion. That’s so nice to hear, though! Black and white film is its own fascinating category of art. May I ask what the 1926 Western film you saw was?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It's 3 Bad Men (1926), an early John Ford (and if someone knows how to make great Westerns, it's Ford). Here's my review on it. https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/GQ8Sn/official-last-movie-you-saw-thread/search?page=263#iyGTxyA You can watch it legally on YouTube, it's in the public domain now.

The only Indiana Jones movie I've seen was the one where the guy drinks from the holy grail and dies. Oh, and the crystal skull one for whatever reason when it came out, but I don't remember anything from that. (Yes, I know. I need to watch all the movies.) How did you like the new one? Avatar The Way of Water! There were some incredibly beautiful scenes (especially underwater) and special effects in the movie, but I wish it had much less chaotic action scenes! I don't remember the 1st movie too much but I think it was kind of generic and lazy to make the villian from the 1st movie come back, a new villian/storyline idea would have been nice! Even in the ending, they're setting it up for him to be the villian again!
