Still gotta watch all three of those. Welcome to my WL.

I gotta do the same thing at some point. Never watched a single Mission Impossible movie. Welcome to my WL.

Last weekend I went to the cinema (in Buenos Aires, Argentina) and I saw the Studio Ghibli fest! It was awesome, in 3 days I saw:
Popcorn and Miyasaki, a well spent time :)

Matrix for the umpteenth time. It is starting to look a little dated though which I hadn't noticed before, still a good film though.

I was so into Across The Spiderverse (and didn't know that this one and the next one tell one story) that I was kinda annoyed when it ended on a cliffhanger. Beau is Afraid is on my watchlist already. Only heard good things about it. Welcome to my WL.

That one scene, you know which one I'm talking about. THAT ONE SCENE! Such a good movie! Welcome to my WL.

Yeah, that movie wasn't good. I think it's ripe for a remake. The story behind it is fascinating, they just didn't manage to make a good movie out of it last time. Welcome to my WL.

Watched that one twice at the cinema and I enjoyed it both times. Welcome to my WL.

Monster(2023). It does have mixed reviews in my country, but I personally liked it, especially the ending.

It's only coming out in Germany next year, so I'll have to wait. Looks good, though. Welcome to my WL.

Gonna watch Barbie tomorrow. Only heard good things about it. Welcome to my WL.

Already planned on watching it pretty soon. Welcome to my WL.

Danton, a French-Polish-West German movie about the last days of Georges Danton, one of the leading figures of the French Revolution.
Pretty good, and very insightful if you want to learn something about the French Revolution. Not exactly a documentary, of course.

Looks interesting. Probably gonna watch the 1932 version before, though. Welcome to my WL.

I recall waiting forever for Danton to come out on Criterion so I could finally see it and it's good, though very much Wajda's take on events. The film that really stands out in memory for me is a bizarre little noir, Black Book (1949).
If you know where to view the 1932 version of Danton, please share :)

Black Book/Reign of Terror (1949) looks very interesting. Definitely gonna put it on my watchlist. And whenever I decide to watch Danton, if I can find it, I'll tell you.

Thanks! And let me know if you watch it, I want to hear what it's like. The 1983 one is sometimes fairly brutal, as you might expect from a movie about that facet of the French Revolution of all things, but really intelligent. The last scene really stuck with me; you'll see what I mean when you watch it.
Incidentally, I have since watched Justiça, a 2004 documentary about the Brazilian justice system. Just law school things. :P

"Rubber", about a tire that comes to life and kills people with psychokinetic powers.
A love story, really.

Hi CurryKingWurst.
My last movie was The Hateful Eight. It has been a while since it came out so I'm a bit late, but I enjoyed a lot. Despite the Tarantino's reputation, this definitely isn't some violent movie for mainstream. It's a beautiful long unraveling theatre, where all actors are main actors and they steal the stage for them selves (in a good way) and it a pleasure to watch them even one could say "nothing happens".
If you're in a mood for a western detective movie, it's a great experience.

Only watched it earlier this year myself. Very good Western. Can recommend it for people who just finished playing RDR2, definitely scratched my itch. Welcome to my WL.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
The next one will probably be Die Welle (The Wave), I heard good thing about this one.
Edit: I just remembered that the last movie saw was Little Miss Sunshine (but as I already saw it before, I forgot that it was after Indiana Jones).

How was the new Indiana Jones? Die Welle (2008) is great. When it came out I was still in school and watching it there was definitely quite an experience. Highly recommended. Little Miss Sunshine is also very good. Watched in in honour of Alan Arkin when he passed. Welcome to my WL.

Campeones is the last movie I have seen. The story is about a guy who is a basketball coach and, because he messes up in traffic, gets sentenced to do community service with a basketball team made up of people with intellectual disabilities. The movie tells how this unlikely group of players and their coach figure out how to overcome obstacles and become a tight-knit team. It also tackles themes of inclusion, acceptance, and friendship, and it does so with humor and sensitivity.

Looks like good, light-hearted entertainment. But in the next 5 years there was a documentary about the movie, a sequel to it and 3 remakes. Might take a while before I tackle all of those together. Welcome to my WL.

Last one was Oppenheimer.
The movie was good. In my opinion too much time wasted on a non-trial. But THAT ending. Man, it was so great. I wasn't expecting, just a simple talk, and Einstein's face. I still shiver when I think about it.

Looks very interesting. On my watchlist it goes. Welcome to my WL.

Oh yeah, that one was very good. Would've liked more of the Paimon stuff at the end but it was definitely also better than I expected. Welcome to my WL.
