Haven't watched any of the Thor movies yet. Same with Megamind (2010). But the others are very good. Welcome to my WL.

I went to see L’immensità at our local indie theatre (which is a converted drama theatre from the 1930s).
I picked it randomly off their page because I like to just spend an evening with whatever acclaimed or B-movie they're showing. It turned out to be a lovely Italian coming-of-age film about a trans boy dealing with, among other things, getting a crush on the daughter of some local migrant workers and trying to protect his stunningly gorgeous mother (played by Penélope Cruz, of course) from a father who's getting too close to abusive for comfort. It falls into that category of quiet, artistic slice-of-lifes that are often a hit at the Cannes festival. I really enjoyed it.

The first Rush Hour actually turns 25 in a few days. Crazy where the time goes. Welcome to my WL.

The Super Mario Bros Movie. I probably missed half the references, but I liked it :)

Same, that was a very entertaining movie. Welcome to my WL.

I usually have trouble with non-animated media (I get really immersed and suffer quite a bit), but The Princess Bride is one of the few movies I can safely enjoy. I think it's because a lot of the time, the characters are just... having fun.
During my holiday, I was knitting a scarf. I like watching something while knitting, but it can't be new or I'll get distracted. I didn't have wifi, so watching the same old youtube musicals I've gone through a thousand times wasn't an option. Just in case, I checked the available movies - and there it was, The Princess Bride. My parents would come back into the room and find me watching the same movie for the 324295th time. It was so, so fun.

I literally had to bribe my gf to watch it for the first time last year because she was convinced it was going to be a trainwreck.
It's timeless because it doesn't rely on special effects or gimmicks that age badly. It's a classic story of adventure, humor and humanity. Can't ask for much more than that

It definitely deserves it's status as a classic movie to watch if you just want to have a good time. Welcome to my WL.

Definitely enjoyed it when it came out. I got the novel it's based on laying around here somewhere. Maybe I should get to it and read it. Welcome to my WL.

For some reason I wasn't a big fan when I watched The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (2015). Might be time for a rewatch. Welcome to my WL.

Oh yeah, gotta get around to watch this, but it's a 3 hour action movie and I'm not a big fan of action movies, so I haven't been in the right mood for it yet. Welcome to my WL.

Great movie! And DDL is just amazing in everything he's in. I hope some day he'll get the itch to start acting again, but until then, if he's happy with what he's doing now, it's all good. Welcome to my WL.

Last movie I watched was Attack on Titan II, those live action movies dont do the manga or anime justice, pretty shite all around.

It was either Paris, Texas or Throne of Blood a couple of weeks ago... Please save the WL spot for someone else though.

Nope, you're going on my WL. Especially with incredible movies like that.

Had to check my trakt.tv account, but according to it, was Hacksaw Ridge. Def didn't like it, the one before (Banshees of Inisherin) was much better

I liked both of those a lot. It's crazy that Banshees was nominated for 8 Oscars and didn't win a single one of them. Welcome to my WL.

Didn't really click with me as much as I wanted it to, but maybe I just wasn't in the right mood. Might need a rewatch. Welcome to my WL.

The Truman Show - a classic I had yet to watch. Surprisingly scary. Made me think.

Gran Turismo. It's a pretty good underdog story. Well shot and has some great acting in it.

Oh yeah, I liked that trailer at the cinema. Definitely gonna watch it when it comes out on home media. Welcome to my WL.

It was Weathering with You, a cool Japanese animation. That's a twist, indeed.
Cheers!

Come on, I'd have to edit my post every day. Just check out the movies thread where I post the latest movie I've watched every day. Right now it's Barbie (2023), which was surprisingly good imho.
