Just like with Zelda or Mario games your favorite Final Fantasy is most likely the first part you played.

It's funny because there's a huge mistake in the game synopsis (at least on the french page of the store), it says that Galbadia declared war on Dollet, a country which military school houses two strong characters...

I'm sure those who never played the game will thank you. And by "Balamb", I was referring to Balamb as a country/region/city, or maybe a "faction" in the war. I wasn't going into details regarding Squall's origins on purpose, because... because spoiler.
Anyway, the main characters do come from Balamb, at least those we play with at the beginning. The point is not discussing where they were born or something like that. In the synopsis, the situation just starts with Dollet being attacked and paying Balamb for military support.
"The main character does not comes from Balamb but from Balamb Garden which, frankly, is something completely different."
Yeah, well, same region, just a few kilometers away from each other. Balamb Garden keeps being referred to as "Balamb" or "BGU" during the game.

Are you sure you can use the 20% code for it? When I tried to add the code it didn't work. Well...might just as well wait for the sale in a few weeks when it will most likely get 33% and I have to finish FF7 first anyways.

Now I only need FFIX as that was my favorite one.

Why do you say that? Is it because they never made a pc version? If so than i can always dream.

=o this game had so much pointless-ness. mission: stop missile -> fail. you bring a sniper that gets cold feet only to find out it didn't matter if he hit the target or not cause she has a shield. squall lets riona be taken and literally in the same cut says "we gotta go save her". the fact the other characters forced the main characters into a relationship cause squall is gay and indifferent.
then there is that fact you wont use magic cause it's used for states and MUST be stolen from enemies. you level to fast but this maybe a good thing cause at level 99 with beast gear only quall (if your blade-gun bullet hits the target) will do decent damage.
play 7 and wait for 9 to come to steam.

I'm kinda baffled by the number of people who are convinced that FFIX will be released on Steam next. Rest assured it will never happen. There was never a PC port for it and Squeenix doesn't care that much. However FFXIV has been confirmed for Steam release a while ago

I'm kinda confused as to what you're saying since the roman numerals are messed up. 9 = IX and 14 = XIV
If you're saying that IX won't come to PC then I agree. It was never on the PC like VII and VIII as you mentioned and the fact that the new releases were hardly updated shows their lack of interest in doing ports. As for FFXIV, I'm surprised it wasn't added after it's big overhaul.
I think the reason people are hopeful is the fact that probably weren't fans of the series when the original PC ports came out and haven't realized that these are rereleases and not new ports.
It's almost as annoying as people crying for a FFVII remaster when it's not possible without redoing the majority of the game. This is part of the reason why the original PC port was bad as well. "The only thing the port team could work with was the pre-compiled PlayStation data on backgrounds and FMV movies, because the computers used to render the originals were gone and the 3D models for the cinematics were no longer available. Many of the original artists and animators were contract workers and no longer with Square, so they couldn't help with the port. The original MIDI music was tweaked by audio engineers after being compiled into the PSX SEQ format; the original MIDIs the PC received were not even the final versions. Square refused to have anything changed for the port, apart from the text input, because the game's original director was not part of the project and could not be consulted."

Oh god dammit i messed up the numerals again (and edited the wrong one later). Yeah i was trying to say how FFIX will probably never be on Steam while FFXIV is already in database (they'll probably release it randomly one day on Steam with zero promotion, just like they did with FFVII and FFVIII)
