War of the Roses: Kingmaker question

just got this from a trade, sorry if this doesnt belong here, wasnt sure where to ask

when i hit play it shows me a key then says enter the key when the game asks for it, then never asks for it.

am i missing something?

AFAIK certain games do this, just ignore it.

I think like 1/3 of my Steam games do this.
I think often the serial is just for multiplayer, which I never play, but often it just is never asked for anywhere in game.

You can use that key to see private forums(Technical Support etc.) in paradoxplaza.
