Buying this fabulous bundle?
Not interested in any of those games, never heard of the movies those tickets are for (and adding a couple plane tickets for the trip to the USA that would be required to watch them would probably turn this into the most costly bundle ever), don't own a VR setup... Thanks for your belated "oops we forgot something last tuesday" bundle Humble, but the only thing that looks remotely interesting for me on that page is the cat on the charity's banner.

GOTY contains some of the older but useful DLC in Payday 2. If you're planning to play it in a serious way, you can't go wrong with GOTY.

Payday 2 has a lot of useless DLC - but the GOTY edition does also includes a lot of fairly essential extra weapons plus several extra heists that are worth playing.

Somebody a few posts below reckons this is a different version of the GOTY package which includes 38 DLC. I don't know if that's true myself - but either way yeah, it's a notorious DLC fest.

No problem - in reply to your question below about what is the best DLC then I'd say the Gage weapon packs. I don't remember the base game including sniper rifles, grenades and other fairly essential things so you will need those. Most of the newer weapon packs, like the BBQ pack, mostly just contain novelty weapons that you will only use once - and only then probably to get an achievement.
(If you're a completionist then you'll hate this game by the way, every DLC comes with new achievements that you need the DLC to get.)
A lot of the heists are good - but keep in mind only one person needs to own the heist to play multiplayer. I don't think any of the characters are especially good - although Clover has some really funny dialogue. The Hotline Miami DLC is good but the other game tie-in stuff like the Chivalry weapons looks fairly pointless.

Theres free snipers, nades and anything else essential he mentions.
Edit; also dlc was released OVER 3 years, so not that daily. Makes sense dlc costs more from a longer devcycle than the main game itself (2 years)

And yeah Daylight getting bundled is a tad weird, do hope it gets re-bundled at one point again in a other maybe more to my taste bundle :3

Dead by Daylight is published by Starbreeze.
And they seem to be following a little bit the keep adding stuff to the game via pay and free DLC model.

Based on reddit comments it looks like the GOTY edition is the wrong one. People activated it and got 38 DLC (or whatever the exact number is, a lot more than 15 anyway) instead of 15, which corresponds to the 2015 GOTY (https://steamdb.info/sub/71681/apps/) instead of the 2016 GOTY (https://steamdb.info/sub/54408/apps/)
Hopefully they won't do like Sunless Sea by revoking those keys and replacing them with 2016 versions.
Edit: This is not based on an overwhelming amount of feedback but so far no one seems to contradict it. I highly doubt it's what Humble intended to give in that bundle so it's still risky (revoking/replacing or only a limited amount of "wrong" keys)

I already own Payday 2 and most of the DLC, but I just gifted the GOTY edition from tier 2 to my sister and I can confirm that she got the 2015 version with extra DLC.
If it's intentional or if it's a mistake that will get corrected I don't know.

38 DLC is slightly misleading as 9 of those are actually free updates - it does however add those 9 to your account which you can't do otherwise.
EDIT: 15 is also a misleading comparison as that's not including the aforementioned updates unlike the count of 38 in the other version.
2016: 14 Paid DLC (the 15th item being the game itself)
2015: 28 Paid DLC

And based upon the information about which GOTY this is, it's a steal at $6. After that is "only" $46 of DLC (so, $11.50 if all acquired at 75% off--the proper way to buy DLC for PD2). Let's be a bit more conservative as the two new DLCs from December might not be 75% off next sale. $34 of DLC for $8.50.
Being able to get almost all of PD2 for $14.50 is a good bargain.

None of this DLC is needed to enjoy the game.Also if you do know someone who has the DLC you can paly with the DLC without owning it as long as the host own the DLC.So if you are on the fence about getting the DLC or the higher tier but the 1tier and find someone who has the DLC and is willing to host so you can try out other DLC.
Still before Ekaros chimes in about you are not forced to buy it to win their argument when it has little to do with being forced I hate those who use that language to justify greed
Let's skip past that and look at how they promised they would not add microtransactions?They have time to add those but no time to finish the safe house they had promised since pretty much launch.Supporting a product does not mean DLC pretty much every month and mostly crap guns and skins.Then add DLC that nobody really wants while not adding stuff a good share of the community wants.They should have had 3 out by now I can only imagine it will just be more of the same.It is sad that the first game is the highlight of the series when 2 could have been so much better if it was not for all the DLC and broken promises.
In the end, the DLC is not needed to play or enjoy the game unless you really want to play those maps and as I said if you know someone who owns them you can play with if they host without owning them.I would only say buy the DLC if you like the game but only when on sale or in a bundle.Funny though a bundle about John Wick but most of it is not about him lol.

I know it is in the game now still does not change that they took a very long time to do so but had plenty of time to do paid DLC.That tells me all that matters is bottom line first then promises later.It was also promised at launch and was part of pre-order and they it took how long?They made the time for micro transactions but not something as simple as safe house customization?

Probably since it was a bad pointless idea. Things get scrapped all the time, for good reasons.
They did it eventually due to outcry. And guess what? It was rather bad and utterly pointless.
Then thats just a matter of opinion. I rather play one game long than more (fullpriced!) games shortly, as you apparently prefer. Which in the end is more costly for the end user.
Cloakers were already in Payday 1. Odd complaint.

Borderlands was not the first by a long shot with bullet sponges.Borderlands also offers a lot more content for less price then Payday and do CO-OP a lot better.Though that is not the say that Payday is a bad game.A good game can still have bad choices.Still this game even at it's best it still an Average shooter.
My point of the safe house regardless if it ended up being good or not doesn't invalidate that it should have been put in a long time ago like it was promised.Then they promised several times no microtransactions then still added them.They then say they have been busy and had no time for the safe house but have plenty of time other things fans did not want like microtransactions.If they would have spent proper time on the safe house it might have not been so bad but i am pretty sure they rushed it just to shut people up.
It still can be a fun game but I am sorry that I can not say a lot of good things about them because of the track record.The game could be so much more if they would worry less about DLC that is Mixed/Average at best and DLC weapon packs tend to get better reviews should say something.I would much rather have better maps and better heist then tons of DLC that adds nothing to the base game other then trinkets and boring wepaons.

I meant Borderlands with the GOTY where a whole bunch of content was lacking. Borderlands 2 did that, and I don't recall any game before that.
And amen to more maps, but generally they are also the ones being granted more freely, and understandably take a lot more time to make than a new weapon.

BL2 GOY was not missing that much.It was missing one of the UVH and those pointless holiday themed dlc.Just because tou can not recall any other game does not mean it did not exist before that.Saints Row 3 is another example of complete not being complete.Also the 2015 edition of Payday 2 GOY has more dlc then 2016 why is that?Atleast BL and other games have left it the same and have not removed content.

Honestly, I wish the developer would stop supporting Pay Day 2.... I feel like every 3 or 4 days I have another Pay Day 2 update queued in my downloads.... so for $1.... seems like a good bundle.... but I don't get the bundle tiers here.
Tier 1 = Pay Day 2
Tier 2 = Pay Day 2 GOTY
Tier 4 = John Wick (included Pay Day 2)

^This. DLC is one of the reasons I am a Blizzard fan. I don't agree with the SC2 expansions for each races campaign but at least the expansion actually had content instead of paying $3.99 for an in game hat. Whatever happened to the days of Game release -> constant support -> expansion pack that added new features and equated to hours of game play -> constant support. Now it's game release with specific components removed for DLC -> release 40 DLC and pretend it is support.
How a game today can have release day DLC and gamers accept that is just beyond my comprehension. Day one DLC means they actively REMOVED that feature from the game so they could specifically sell it for additional profits at YOUR expense. And you people eat it up!

Well given the state of how a lot of games are released these days patching is needed just to get the game to function.
The game was complete maybe in their terms of being complete but not mine.The price they asked and what they delivered was not my definition of a full game.I have played DLC for games that cost less and had more content.
Look the game can still be fun to play with others but that does not take away that it still not a very good game.Hell Postal 2 by all rights is a terrible game but I still have fun and enjoy it despite a lot of issues.That does not exclude it from being a bad game but I would still give it a thumbs up because I enjoy it.
At the time of release Payday 2 was 39.99 and was not aa 39.99 game and then over the years made worse by all the DLC that cost way more than the base game for about the same content of the base game.It was not until the huge price cut that it was easier to swallow.
In the end like it or not it still a DLC whore and, will continue until who knows how long?When will it stop?When it cost 200 to get all the stuff for the game?Right now without sales, it will cost 170 for all DLC, Base games cost twenty dollars.So if you want to enjoy the full experience it will cost you almost 9 times the base without a sale.It was a lot worse before they did a huge price cut which I think they felt forced because sales were going down because of the the price and amount of DLC.

Traded the Orc and Crossbreed mask pack the first time round as I didn't have the game at the time. I'll buy T1 for the weapon pack but it's a shame the only other item I'm missing will cost me an extra $5 if I decide to get it.

Picked up the $6 tier and can confirm the GOTY is the 2015 edition and not the 2016 edition (much more content in the 2015 edition)

Thanks for confirming this. I wanted the mask pack I was missing but the extra content I don't have from this version of the GOTY makes up for the extra cost.
