What would you lose, or miss the most?
Hum .... my trading cards...
All those profitz man :c
With all seriousness id just go back to pirating stuff . Nothing is lost on the internet , so i cannot access them on steam id just find another source to get them .
And since i technically paid for them ( or well someone did ) i wouldnt feel that bad about it :)
So i guess i will win all the money im spending on games .

One of those "what if tomorrow teh world ends - what would you lose.gif" threads. :-D
As for Steam - couldn't care less but chances are higher that our little home planet gets hit by a devastatingly huge asteroid and
humanity is undocumented history along with some scribbles and garbage floating in space from former space missions, before Volve
manages to crap their business-pants beyond recovery - which you'd smell and see years before it occurs.

About 40% of my PC games are Steam only. Other 60% includes GOG, Origin and uPlay games, DRM-free CD/DVD games and Steam based games with physical copies - they would only require crack. Still it's a lot of games missing.

According to the handy-dandy dissapointometer I'd loose somewhere between $1376 and $5150.

Lots of people would probably lose their virginity.

Without a trace? Then I guess I'd go back to solely playing games on Nintendo consoles.

I would cry for a bit and then get over it. If I could walk away from WoW after 10 years, I can leave Steam one day too.

There will be a thousand years of darkness and despair. Only a few will remeber at first, but they will keep speaking The Word of GabeN. As centuries pass, more people will believe again and keep spreading The Word. Finally, The GabeN will return before the end of the millennium, all servers will be brought back to life, and the entire world will become one amazing videogame, and that videogame will be Half-Life 3.

Honestly? The loss of my only form of social interaction. Games I can buy/pirate (honestly, I'd go full "yarr" mode if all of my Steam library was taken away by Valve). I don't care much for anything else on Steam, however Steam/Steamgifts is the only places where I interact with other humans (with the exception of members of the family I guess). The loss of Steam would mean the end of any future interaction with people I consider friends. The end of Steamgifts would only make it worse.

I'd lose thousands, but I'd still have my several hundred console games.

Actually, without a joke, the possibility of EARTHQUAKE where Valve's HQ locates is pretty high, if you want you can read about it on OFFICIAL Seattle's website. So, be ready everyone - this is real.

WHAT IF... Steam suddenly vanishes from the Earth, along with all databases, games, items and whatnot. Not a trace is left. Steamgifts? Can't login without Steam. All your TF2 keys? Gone. Your game collection? What game collection?
What would you miss the most?
Just a philosophy: do you own your games on Steam? Your profile? How many parts of your life is digital? Is it all worth it?
