The Drawing Contest!

What's the deal with this event? It's simple, you make a digital or traditional art piece depicting a game character and send it to your friendly neighborhood cat astronaut (that's me – MBcoder wanted to participate this time, so I'm filling in for him). Then the community votes for the picture they like best. And, of course, there are prizes to win!

This event is for everyone. No matter if you're a pro, a hobbyist or a beginner, don't get discouraged and participate!

Rules:

1. All drawings must be character-focused. Props and backgrounds are okay, as long as the main subject is a character or characters.
2. The characters have to be from an existing game.
3. The characters don't have to be humanoid (but it can, don't worry, humans are allowed).
4. Please don't make group shots. The limit is three characters.
5. The entries should be sent to sgartsociety@gmail.com.
6. You can participate with only one picture, but you can change your entry any time before the countdown ends.
7. Please do not post your entries anywhere online, especially here on SG. We want them to be anonymous.

So, what to do?

Just make a picture, and then send it to sgartsociety@gmail.com. Remember to include your SG username and the name of your character(s) somewhere in the e-mail.
If you're participating with a traditional piece, send an additional photo of your art and a little piece of paper with your username on it.
If you're participating with a digital piece, send me at least two work-in-progress shots (25% and 50%, 30% and 60% etc.).
These rules are meant to prevent cheating.
Please don't use any filters or other enhancements on your traditional pictures. Things like Brightness & Contrast or Level correction are allowed (we all know how badly scanners and cameras treat drawings :D).

You have over 10 days to prepare and send a perfect entry.
The deadline is May 27th, 16:00 GMT.

After the deadline, I will make a voting thread with all the entries.

Prizes:

All entrants will be invited to the SteamGifts Art Society, which hosts group giveaways from time to time.
The top 6 will be available to enter a private giveaway for a nice, unbundled game.
The top 10 (yes, including the top 6) will be available to enter another, also nice and unbundled.

If we get 33 entries or more, then it will be top 8 and top 12 respectively.
