Yup. The giveaway creator will either email it to you or add you on steam.

It probably won't take 1 week, that's just the delay the giveaway creator has to send you the game.
Just check the won page regularly until the key appears, then activate it on your own account. You cannot trade or gift the games that you win, they must be activated on your account. Once you have activated it, mark it received.
If the key do not appear, check your mail, sometimes gifts are sent by mail (so make sure the email you provided when registering here is valid). It's also possible that the creator of the giveaway will add you on Steam to gift you the game.
If after 7 days you haven't received the game, mark it non received (but you could also try contacting the person first to see what's going on, but don't contact them before 7 days have passed)

You have to activate that gift on your account though. You can't keep it in your inventory or send it a friend or something. Just adding that :)
