Unpopular opinion thread!

Most people think Anita Sarskeesian has some good points, it's just her broad sweeping generalizations and lack of context and equal representation of realities that's annoying. Regardless, what the gaming industry really needs from these people is for them to develop games that aren't just about gratification and that provide positive representations of all people. They aren't making anything better by preaching hatred and whining though. I'm especially baffled when I see someone like Phil Fish quit developing games then become super critical of people that develop games. If he really wanted to change the gaming industry or cared about it at all he should of stayed in it and made a positive impact instead of just crying, running away, and subsequently shitting on everyone who is still willing to do what he gave up on.

• I strongly support communism. Most of the bad things said about USSR are lies or can be applied to USA.
• I dislike every Elder Scrolls game.
• I couldn't watch original Star Trek series, not because of bad props or special effects - the acting sucks just as the plot.
• I think that Terminator 3 is way better than Terminator 4.
• Attack on Titan is way overrated. The world is somewhat interesting, the graphics are good, but the characters are stereotypical, their emotions unnatural, the plot just drags on and on, not trying to speed up for more interesting parts. But there's so much enthusiasm over it, like they didn't see any anime in the last 20 years.
• Chrono Trigger is better than any Final Fantasy game.

• Its an age thing I know, but I really cant see why Pokemon is (still) that popular.

I don't understand why people get so mad when I call animes cartoons nor do I understand the appeal of animes cause they're mostly just overly sexualized cartoons

Oblivion is the best TES game.

• We need World War 3

I think Sarskeesian did it for the money more than for the real issue. I always got that vibe from her.

Skyrim and GTA 4 are highly overrated.
The Atar Wars trilogy isn't that great.

i think point and click games have no gameplay at all.

I watched Breaking Bad (only the first Season) and didn't really like it.

I didn't learn Russian language from Dota 2 or CS:GO even though I have 1400 hours combined.

-Worms Reloaded - good game, I played it more than Armageddon, which is also good ofc

-Duke Nokem Forever is not that bad, after first 2-3 hours I enjoyed it a lot, and The Doctor Who Cloned Me is one of the best DLCs ever made for a game - more like a normal expansion

Videogame related opinions:

• I played Skyrim and I entirely dislike the hype people made and still make about it. Its a nice game, but not the perfect uber awesome game most people preach. I mean ... ah comeon, see for yourself!

• Far Cry 3 was one of the worst games I ever played. It was so stupid, full of racism, sexism, dealt with rape in a fcking stupid way, "douchebaggery" and bad characters that I could not even finish it. First you have to fight for the blue team against the red team whos members all have STDs and love to shout that out, after killing their leader in a drug-celebrating quick time event, you fight team yellow. I couldn't even finish it. I even shot a bear with a magnum in the head. 3 times. He still managed to kill me. -.-

• I believe Far Cry 4 will be the same shit as Far Cry 3, since the bad guy has the same characteristics like the bad guys of part 3. Hes nuts, excentric and loves to make not funny jokes.

• I believe Far Cry 2 was the best of the series.

• I dislike how videogames are mostly remakes of other videogames. I miss individuality.

• I don't like the flood of "Indiegames" on steam.

• I think word "Indie" has lost its true meaning.

• Fallout 1 was the best game I've ever played.

• I dislike the flood of facebook-like and bigfishgames-like games on steam.

• I like some bigfishgames. I even have an account. (lol :S)

• I think let's plays and videogame curators hurt the videogame industry. They tricked me into buying crappy games that actually looked fun when they played them. Because they have to look funny, otherwise no one would want to watch the videos. -.-

• I dislike how MOBAS flourish these days.

• I liked to play MOBAS and DOTA as a War3 mod. Does anyone even remember War3?

• I truly "hate" how games are sold nowadays. Especially DLCs. I do not want to pay additional 2 bucks for a weapon that should have been in the game in the first place.

• I realised that the Skyrim Giveway is public. Thats not what I wanted to do and I dislike that. So, here - have a private giveaway. Mistakes happen, right?

• The whole debate about how women are degraded in videogames is plain stupid and mostly ignorant. At the same time, its very important to debate about it. But honestly, most women in videogames look like eye candy, but do I look like Marcus from Gears Of War? Do you? I do not even look like my Skyrim character. Though I was close, but then I took an arrow to ... ah, screw that.
  Do I look like Sam Fisher? No, most of the male protagonists look uber awesome and manly. That could be degrading me, but I do not care, since I still have a working mind when I play. I can understand, that its a game I play and those characters are fictive. And I know and like myself. Anybody that feels degraded by a fictive character should ask him- or herself if he or she might need some more self-esteem.

• The last Lara Croft did not serve women well. The whole game was full of stereotypes and clichees. The protagonist still looked like most girls do not look like. She was still eye candy. And whiny at the same time. I had to laugh hard when they first met at the fire with the other girl and the freaky guy who likes to tell stories. She was badly injured and they all started to make some fun and tell stories. This is bad writing and bad characters.

• Edit: Quick Time Events belong in console games and do not work well in pc games!

Non-videogame related opinions:

• I dislike that everybody has an opinion on everything. Not having an opinion on something does not mean one is dumb.

• I like this thread. Its nice to see opinions that are not entirely mainstream.

• I dislike most of the people "outside". Most of them are aggressive or simply non-friendly. I seldom see people smiling and when they see smiling, they look at me as if I was nuts. May be I am.

• I dislike smartphones. Most people only use them to "socialize", which is nothing but sharing crap that has no value, most of the time.

• I think, most people who own smartphones are not smart themselves. There are exceptions, of course.

• I loved to listen to Eminem, when I was a teen. Now I feel he has somehow become what he always hated. A mainstream, pop-music joke.

• I dislike traffic and cars. I wish that the streets would be silent more often. And cleaner.

• Even though I am a vegan, I dislike most vegans. It has become a scene and a trend and a business that produces many "douchebags".

• I dislike that american swears are mostly discriminating women. "Douchebag, pussy mo**erfucker" and so on.

• I believe many feminists nowadays simply have had a bad childhood and a worse father.

• I dislike how everybody hates the Islam.

• I dislike how people dislike religions. They were there when there was no legal system and taught people how to peacefully live in a society. Most religions teach great values. Of course, there are also bad values, but one should never forget that a book that is over 1000 years went through many writers hands. Manipulating written words for your own advantage is not difficult.

• I dislike how people look at me when I pick up my dogs poop. Its the look they want to give the one who does not pick it up, but since they never see those people, they project this look onto the people who do it.

• I think people should work less and reflect themselves and their behaviour more often.

• Television sucks.

• Breaking Bad is poorly written. The Big Bang Theory is Two And A Half Men with Nerds and badly written.

• I don't like big butts and I cannot lie, you other brothers can't deny ...!

When I buy a game I also get the rights to do whatever I want with it and anything it contains as I wish for noncommercial purposes,be it disassembling it to see how the source code handles specific events,ripping out the soundtrack,or making porn using the character models.

I think GTA sucks.

• dubstep, just like many other edm genres, has a bunch of subgenres, there is no such thing as real or wrong dubstep

Now me,

• I hate Tomb Raider 2013 and I hate what they did with Tomb Raider franchise with that reboot
• Last season of Breaking Bad was unnecessary, they should have just added an extra episode or two in Season 4
• I prefer Skyrim over Morrowind, I didn't like Morrowind setting nor combat
• I hate this new multiplayer survival genre that started with Minecraft, Dayz and such.
• I prefer shorter games over long ones, because I usually lose interest in games quickly
• I don't think that consoles are super awful
• I hate people who think that Nightcore is a genre
• iOS is a better os than Android for gaming and many other things, like music composing. I would still take Android any day.
