I look at my wins really often though, and I fully intend to play them as soon as possible :(

I like to spend money on things I don't need an probably won't use. Just like everyone else, except that in my case those things are games.

Haha, I have OCD too but I don't ALWAYS compulsively buy sales, [just bundles... cough] and I've totally had someone try that on me. I wanted old claimable HIB urls and didn't need the games. They wanted me to pay full price even though I said they could find someone that just wanted to have the games first... lul.

If you had over 300 games, would you play all of them at the same time?

I buy a lot of games that I had played before(I also play offline in my laptop and those doesn't show on steam as played). Even with all the reviews available online you can't be 100% sure that you are going to like/really enjoy certain game so in cases where I have doubts, I download them and if I like them I buy, if not I just stop playing and move on to the next thing.
Now, "piracy is bad blah blah blah" I completely agree that if you like something you should pay for it, but giving the lack of decent demos to evaluate if you are going to like it it's kind of unfair to ask me to pay 50/30/20€ for the chance that I might like the result. Easy example, I loved CoD4, last game I ever bought boxed, but really hated MW2/3, had I not downloaded them before buying I would had ended with 2 expensive games that not only I don't like, I would had not played, ever.
Some day when something like gakai(http://www.gaikai.com/) really takes off I might be able to play the actual first half hour(or hour) of a game and decide if I want to buy without having to download it beforehand, but for now I don't really see any alternative other than buy blind and hope for the best.

Well, there are many reasons for collecting instead of using Steam; first and foremost is the fact that physical copies are more often DRM free than copies purchased online. Secondly, there's resale value, and the ability to loan out or trade games.

In my case, because I'm gonna buy a super cool pc in january, so I'm buying those delicious games first <3

My queue is quite long now. The answer for you question is that they have life. They need to go to work that takes 8-12 hours per day. Then they need to eat something meet with friends or be with family also few hours to sleep. So the only time they can play is weekend or like 2 hours. Still if they are no lifes then shame on them.

They lose the point of games, they dont play them, they just collect them on the library... They are trading the whole day instead of having fun by playing, and if you look at their profile, they are always in TF2...

I am on SteamTrades right now, and I am seeing hundreds of people who have 300+ games, and have played only like 10 or so, and not even for that long. What's up with that?
