I dunnur.
I won't buy a bundle if it has even one game I don't want to play.

Collecting games on Steam it's stupid IMO, they're not even physical objects. I can understand people that collect games PHYSICALLY, like in their cases, maybe some Special Edition or something.
But what I find more stupid than collecting games on Steam, is that people don't even play them, and if you don't have enough time to play them, well, why bought them?
How I wish to have that much games to actually play them. :c

The only reason I haven't played more of the games that I own is because my computer is pretty terrible. Can't download much at once due to my harddrive limitations, and most games don't run that well in the first place. As soon as I can afford a new one, all my games will be played and finished within a few months. XD

That's what I keep telling myself, but it hasn't happened yet. XD

Most of the games I have on Steam are actually regular games that happened to come with a complimentary Steam Key (mainly thanks to Humble Bundle, but from some other sources as well). So naturally Steam thinks I haven't played them even though I've finished them.

Bundles and really good sales.
Some (like myself) like to pretend that we'll get around to playing some of them some day (we never will). It's not exclusive to gamers either, lots of people have extensive unread and unwatched book and DVD/Blu-Ray collections.

Greed. I want the games, so I will have them. In my defense, because I lack time to properly play and enjoy story based games (I like to take my time to keep track of the story and play it out as a tv series or book), I often end up playing games which are easy to just play inbetween and don't require any commitment.

they use their funds to support games, without these people, everybody making them would be more broke

I am a sucka for a good deal I guess.
I don't collect games per say as I only buy games I like but I do have a collectors complex, say for example I owned max payne 1 and 3 on steam, I would feel obligated to eventually buy 2 on steam as well just to complete the set, even if I owned it on a different platform.
Out of the 100+ games I own on steam I have played them all at least once apart from around 30, which are made up of recent purches I haven't got round to yet, and sequels that I haven't beat the previous games of.

I like hoarding games just because sometimes you get really tired of the same 10 games and you wanna just install something you never heard of and play it.
Also packrat upbringing, gotta hoard everything in sight. Plus all these bundles, man...

Some of us just can't turn down a decent sale. Also, some of us have problems with time - I tend to want to play new games for longer stretches of time than old games, so I need more consecutive hours to come together before I can get into a new game. That's pretty rare for me.
At the very least, I intend to eventually get around to every game in y library, except for some "bundled" games I never wanted int eh first place but couldn't give away independently thanks to HIB's single-key policy.

Honestly, it is a few things for me...

It's just so fast and easy to do a couple of clicks and buy a game, and it's pretty exciting to own something new. On the other hand, actually playing games takes quite a bit of time.
Plus I'd like to add that judging by a Steam profile isn't entirely accurate. I spent many many hours on games which Steam hasn't recorded.

I like to own the games that I plan to play, so that I can always play them when I feel like it, without having to shell out it's full cost since I enjoy playing so many different games. I try to only buy games when I believe they're at the cheapest price they'll probably be forever, or if I'm seriously going to play it a lot in the time right after I buy a game. For example, XCOM EU, definitely not the lowest price it'll ever be when I bought it, but I've put 19 hours in it already, well worth my money in my opinion.
I might not have played EVERY single one of my games yet, largely due to the fact that a lot of games were a part of a bundle I got for one or two games that did interest me, but according to Wasted on Steam, I've played 301 out of 449 games. That's only 148 games I haven't played before, made up of games that came as a part of a bundle and games that are of a series of a game that I haven't gotten to yet.
I get to all my games eventually, and while I probably should just simply get to all the games I already have, I can't help myself when I see a new game that I'll definitely enjoy.

The puny amount of 300 games? They NEED to trade for more games obviously.
I won't be content until I have 3000+ games...

I am on SteamTrades right now, and I am seeing hundreds of people who have 300+ games, and have played only like 10 or so, and not even for that long. What's up with that?
