You gonna get this bundle?

YES! I liked the last one/ interested in this one!
NO. Not falling for this one!
Maybe ... need to think about this one
Chocolate please :3

i liked the first bundle. I wanted besiege and legend of grimrock II. I traded valkyrie chronicles for resident evil 4 so i'm happy with the purchase (still have some games to trade). Now i'm unsure if i buy elite dangerous (hoping for a another discount on the winter sale) or buy this bundle.

Am I crazy to hope for Undertale? Never even been discounted...

That soon after release? For such a high profile game? With a pretty disappointing November bundle? Yeah, I'd say that's crazy. If you're interested in the game, just grab it - it's well worth it full price!

Inb4 they both get bundled in this one.

To be very honest, that would really surprise me. With their sales, I cannot blame an indie developer for not going for any cheapness when they finally can make some actual money for their work. Getting it bundled after so long periods of not offering any large deals would just invite all bundle key reseller groups from all over the world to stock up insane amounts in anticipation.

Vlambeer said that NT won't be in a bundle while in early access. so maybe later.

And, coincidentally, it has been in early access for what, two whole years now? Obsidian developed Fallout New Vegas from scratch in lesser time. :)

We can't say that for sure. Undertale is fairly new game and it's very popular at the moment (hottest Indie game of the year, no doubt). Give it a year or so.

That said, this is the only game that invoked me to buy both Steam + OST (at full price) and the Humble Bundle (for DRM free and gifting the key to a friend) just so I can give the developer more money.

First bundle was pretty good, even though I owned most of the games, I'm not sure what to expect from the next one, I guess it automatically bills you using the same billing method.. don't see any option to reenter billing information, nor do i see any option to decline.

The last one netted me 3 or 4 games I didn't own already, I am hopeful this one will do the same. I like the idea of a gamble anyway and unless it's all games I already own it won't be too bad, pretty sure all but one of the games given the first month were valued above what they cost individually.. non sale prices anyway.

This is a subscription service, not a one-time purchase. There is the ability to cancel very easily, just look in your account options. It's too late to do it for this month, of course.

I don't want to cancel it, suppose they must have already taken the money out of my account.

I gave in and bought it. We will see in two hours, but that was part of my thinking as well. Hoping for some good titles tho. Maybe Styx?

Permalink

Styxs sounds like a good guess. Most of Cyanide/Spiders/Focus Home interactive's games get bundled after a while, and Styx has been out long enough.

No hints this time? :(

If Never Alone or Tomb Raider where in it that would be a must buy but as it's only speculation it's highly unlikely....

No image leaks from subscribers like the last time?

They've learned from last time when the speculation based on the hints went complete out of control.

Any speculation this month is baseless, zero hints.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

They can expect very little subscriptions then. At least I won't be falling for it. If a good game ends up in it I can always trade for it at a far less price than paying 12$ for the whole bundle.

The first bundle was a complete let down, and that was with hints included.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I thought the first one was excellent, $12 for seven highly rated games, which would cost you $30 together at their lowest ever prices.
It's a bundle, won't satisfy everyone.

People have some crazy expectation and sense of entitlement when it comes to these things. It's unlikely to be like their regular bundles where a publisher is doing something special and pretty much giving away games that no longer sell.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

To each their own I suppose. If you are ok with wasting $12 on a blind preorder that contains 2 good games maybe, than do as you like.

Just don't discredit someone else's opinion.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

And by implying that someone else spending their $12 on it is a waste is also discrediting their opinion. Maybe you didn't like it but to me it was a good bundle. I had none of the games because I refrained from buying them previously thinking that they would get bundled sooner or later. Basically, short of creating a bundle where you can build your own bundle from a pool of games that it somehow detects that you don't own (never mind the practicality of this), then it is impossible to please everyone.

Maybe the bundler thought the overall price reduction did not justify an implementation on the "less contribution value"-list.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I guess the overall discount for the games did not exceed 95%

Total Retail value for Nov Bundle: : $103.93.

95% off of this price is 5.19.

The bundle was $12, meaning the discount for the entire bundle is 88.45%

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I think tempete just recently clarified that this 95%-rule should be taken as a rule of thumb.

but it's good to calculate like that

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Games with 85% off on the store are being added to the list though. Wolfenstein and The Evil Within are good examples.

Perhaps the monthly bundles may be good for CV farmers as long as they don't pack one with repeats.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yes, I am aware of that. In this case though, we are talking about Humble Bundle contents, not items available in the Steam store :O
But yes, the monthly bundles are good for GAs! CV shouldn't be the main motivation to it though, but knowing some users want the best bang for their buck, the monthly is a good option

I think that was because of Russian pricing though, which doesn't apply to these bundles.

those were added because russian price was more than 95% cheaper than US market price. for bundles there are no region pricing, was 12USD for everyone, so easier to see that it will be bundled or not.

i dont liked first bundle, not played a single game from it, gave away saints row as no point to activate nonDLC version, yet i think ill still resubscribe because not bought anything on exploration sale, not had the mod to play anything. Its very likely it will be bad, main issue with bundles that usually no DLC included and its cheaper to buy complete editions on steam than the DLCs to an actual existing main game. This means actually pointless to own base games only.

There are lots of possibilities what will be in bundle, however because of russian prices it also likely, that most of them will be on bundle list even if they add games to the bundle which was never real bundled before so cant earn even CV with those if you own them.

all dlcs for saints row 4 were on sale few days ago for 2.5 euro so you should have activated :F

trolls are trolling trollmode.

season pass include only 2 DLC.

cheapest ever all DLC was 4.99, but include base game aswell, so still, wasnt any point to activate it as season pass + all other DLC even on best ever sale alone more than 10USD, however, everyone can still buy that edition if owning base game, but really, was no point to activate it as i know sooner or later, when my backlog gets shorter, ill buy game+all DLC edition for that sale price.

ok, i see now, you was talking about century edition upgrade pack, that was 2.49 on humble store indeed, still, 2.49 from bank card cost me more than 4,99 from steam wallet with my monthly steam market ~20EUR surplus.

I've found it pretty easy, at least here on SG. It's a really good way to swap stuff you won't use for something you will.

Thus I wasn't too bummed about the last monthly bundle even though I only really wanted to play one of the games in it. In the long run I ended up with multiple wishlist items.

Comment has been collapsed.

There is no even moderately compelling reason to think that either of those games is in the bundle. So I'd say you needn't be too worried about that.

(They were suggestions based on a graphic that was included in some e-mails--a graphic Humble was already using at the time of the last bundle, and which was never indicated to be any sort of preview. And, even if you think that IS a good indication of something, it would only suggest that one or the other would be in this bundle, not both.)
