That's why it is hard to choose, they are REALLY different. :)

I've only played GoT - it's okay. You can't go wrong with that one. But you should have watched the tv show at least until season 4 before you bother about the game.
I have state of decay on my wishlist, looks like a good open world zombie game. I'd guess you would get more out of it in terms of playtime.

You can watch GoT as a letsplay. It's just a typical Telltale game, lacking in actual gameplay but with a good story if you followed the series. SoD is a good game with a few technical issues. And the army DLC seems to have ramped up the difficulty a bit compared to the main game. I liked SoD on the Xbox and my brother gave me SoD YosE for PC :)

I liked the Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us but the trouble with Telltale since that they haven't evolved. They've become the CoD of adventures. The same formula, the same lack of actual gameplay, no surprises. I wouldn't be surprised if the game engine is still in use by 2020 ;)

I would say GOT, + point would be familiar territory. You can relate to it better

I have both and they cant be compared really what i can say tho Game of thrones felt like i was taking a part in episode from the series and the experience was good but in the end i got a strong feeling that none i did ever mattered , even tho all telltale games have some events that cant be changed this was too much aside that i think its a good game on the downside you will be done with it rather quick and the replayability is not there for me just because as i said it feels like nothing matters , State of decay its like going in a walking dead universe you build up relationships and the game is struglle for supplies and survive and if you are familiar with a gta alike game it shares some common characteristics as an open world map where it shows you where the next objective is and combat feels the same and what i found interesting was you get to choose a mission from multiple options most of the time and because its survival the other becoms unavailable usually you get poeple for your camp or supplies as reward for completing so thats a nice factor for replayablility 2 walkthroughs can feel completelly different What to choose is is what you feel is more like your style and if i was in your shoes and i liked both games their style i would just get both just so you know State of decay is not at the best price ever been discounted i got the year one edition for 7.5 euros dunno if that matters to you
