Looks like I must give up on HTC - where should I look for a replacement?

I have a personal iphone 4 (bought brand new) that I still use - its a great phone. My work provided me with a samsung s5 duos and a samsung s5 mini. I find the samsung phones to be completely worthless pieces of garbage.

I do prefer my samsung tablet to an ipad but I do like the iphone 4 and will probably get myself an iphone SE in the near future.

Throw away the idea of the "phone".
Rejoin those of us not lost in that crap.

Samsung. Unless you needed the latest and greatest, biggest and baddest, I'd suggest looking into the Samsung Galaxy Prime models (Core and Grand). They are basically stripped down S models but work just as well for a fraction of the cost. A Grand Prime is going for $100-125 depending on carrier. For that price, you can buy, root it and put whatever you want on it.

As HTC user, I would tell you to stick to HTC: I have a HTC M8 since it was released and it still works like its first day.

Thought you meant an HTC Vive.

Get an iphone, I have a 5s and its working really good for me.
