I don't recall seeing this thread around here and I think it's a pretty cool one. You can either recommend someone a game or advise someone not to waste one's time on it. I'll start.

Mark Of The Ninja - A very good stealth-action game. It's like Splinter Cell but in 2D. Although I admit there were times when I was a little bit bored. Overall it's a very good game. Solid 8/10.

Edit:

Here's a collage of all games I've beaten over the years on PC:

Part 2
Part 3
Part 4

Here's a collage of games in which I've got all achievements (100%):

GTA III
Graphic- OK(yeah i know but this game is 12 years old...)
Story- more or less(cant compare to newer GTA storys but not horrible)
Driving- OK
Shooting- poor

Summary- overall GTA III is good game even today but shooting is aged.

Trine 2 - Beautiful game. It's better in every way than the previous one but it's also very similar. There aren't many changes but... they are not really needed. If you enjoyed the first one then you'll love this one, I'm sure of that. 8+/10

Trine 2: Goblin Menace DLC - One of the best DLC's I've ever played. It's a nice addition to the original game and sometimes it's even better and more differentiated. 8+/10

Home - I'm amazed how much can be achieved with so little technology. Huge pixels, no voice acting, no more than 100 sounds and practically no music (ambience only mostly) but the atmosphere, plot and gameplay are amazing. We create the story and there's a lot of possibilities to explore. It's impossible to discover everything that was prepared for the player during the first playthrough. It's definitely one of the best indie games in my book. I only don't like that it's pretty short. Other than that it's a great experience. 9/10

Just finished The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing. Game is quite fun, but it depends on what you expect. Graphics are off even for indie standards, story is linear and not very good, buit on the other hand gameplay is a lot of fun, loot and leveling system is very well made and combat is a lot of fun. So for your actrion-RPG gameplay you shouldn't be dissapointed. Sadly not like in most of aRPGs there is no endgame content after beating last boss. You may only try to finish all achiev, ents and find all missing secrets and that's all.

Digital: A Love Story - Awesome "visual novel" game. Amiga interface, networking, sending private messages, modems, internet, typing commands and stuff like that. Oldschool! I love it. Plot is good and interesting, music is awesome and the game itself is free! I only wish it was longer because it's short. 8+/10

Just about 1.5h ago, I've beaten XCOM: Enemy Unknown and I'm very proud that I actually managed to beat any game since 6 months. But I'm not satisfied, I have not unlocked 50% or more achievements. I will fix that sooner or later ;d

Well, I'm a DOTA2 player so most of my limited game time goes there. I've started working on my backlogged games and just finished GTA IV+DLCs around 2 weeks ago. GTA IV alone isn't impressive but the the two DLC 'episodes' are way better. It's a good game to start with if you haven't played any of the GTA games yet and want to familiarize yourself in its gamestyle before picking up GTA V in the future.

Ittle Dew 7/10 It was fun, but I don't feel like going back to get the stuff I didn't find before the end. Some of the puzzles required googling for me. My least favorite thing is when I need to Google a solution, the rooms aren't specifically labelled, so I have to find a video of the general area and skip through it to find what I'm looking for. I got it for cards, if I'd paid for it, it might have been more like a 5/10

+1

I have the same feeling about this game. It's not bad, it's just... not great either. Mediocre. And some puzzles are pretty tough (and I'm an adventure games fan so it says a lot). I decided to stop playing after the second boss fight. Maybe I'll come back to it some day but for now I'm done with this game.

Edit: Okay, I finished it. It was pretty good but boring at times.

Don't Take It Personally, Babe, It Just Ain't Your Story - Manga graphic novel from the developer of Digital: A Love Story. It's good. Good writing, good humor, interesting characters, pleasant music. I enjoyed it. There's just too much homosexuality in it IMO. Anyway, 8/10.

Ittle Dew - Zelda-like puzzle game. It's pretty good but gets boring really fast. 6+/10

Deponia - One of the best adventure games of the last few years. I love humor, backgrounds, atmosphere, voice acting, interesting plot and even arrogant and egoistic protagonist is likeable. And of course HUZZAH! Awesome game :) I wish it was longer though. 9/10

PS: I also unlocked all achievements in it.

Escape Goat - Good mix of platformer and puzzle game. Oldschool graphics and music. Good level and puzzle design. It forces one to think how to solve puzzles. I like that. I wish it was longer though and the plot is almost non-existent. Other than that it's a good game. 7/10

Mafia II
The campaign was really good but they should of added more features into it. (E.G Side missions, hidden weapons.) Also they should of added a freeroam, it's really hard to 100% the game without it.

7.5/10

Deus Ex : Human Revolution. It was great. I like it's design and the story; went with the stealthy gameplay. At first, Adam's voice was really irritating, but I got used to it. I'll do a second playthrough after the director's cut will come out, so in 2 weeks.

Analogue: A Hate Story - It's not as good as Digital: A Love Story and Don't Take It Personally, Babe, It Just Ain't Your Story but it's still a good graphic novel. The atmosphere is nice, music as well, the story and writing is good, the story has a moral and there are five endings. I don't like that an average player won't understand much from the story because it's hard to get what's going on after seeing just one ending and 1/3 or even 2/3 of the logs. It's recommended to get all 5 endings (or at least 4) to understand exactly what's going on and who did what and why. But I'm sure most players won't bother. That's why it could have been presented in a different way. Anyway, I had a good time with the "game". 7/10

PS: I also unlocked all achievements in it.
