I don't recall seeing this thread around here and I think it's a pretty cool one. You can either recommend someone a game or advise someone not to waste one's time on it. I'll start.

Mark Of The Ninja - A very good stealth-action game. It's like Splinter Cell but in 2D. Although I admit there were times when I was a little bit bored. Overall it's a very good game. Solid 8/10.

Edit:

Here's a collage of all games I've beaten over the years on PC:

Here's a collage of games in which I've got all achievements (100%):

Mine's The 39 Steps... I was bored and it was a good distraction though more of an e-book per se. The game I beat before that was Resident Evil 6.

Tomb Raider.

I enjoyed it a hell of a lot, although I can see why some die hard Tomb Raider fans wouldn't.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist. But the last one I really enjoyed was Metro: Last Light, to be honest. Ttp, ur collage is awesome, reminded me how many games I've beaten to this day, made me cry a little :') That was hell of a good times.

Saint's Row IV.
Still have a bunch of challenges to complete to get the full 100% though.
Well that, and just being a super-powered asshole because there's just something inherently satisfying about punting old ladies into orbit.

Sine Mora - Very fun shooter. I like the graphics, boss fights, good music (Akira Yamaoka!), "bullet time" aka slow motion, the idea of time constantly running out and in general I think it's technically well done shoot 'em up game. I wish it was longer though because it's really short and the plot is very mediocre. Also, the way the story is presented is kind of off-putting as well. 7/10

TMNT: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - It's not the worst game ever but it's not good either. I have a feeling it's a game strictly for kids because they won't complain about monotonous battles or low difficulty. Older players have nothing to see here, there are tons of better platformers/beat 'em up games. 4/10

Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter.

Okay game, but there wasn't many levels and hated the ending. Would probably give it a 6.5/10

Hell Yeah! Wrath Of The Dead Rabbit - This game is batshit crazy! And I absolutely love it! It's really fun to play. Minigames are cool. It has some cool ideas. I had lots of fun. But the game is really weird and not everyone will like it. I hope they'll make a sequel. 8/10

PS: I also got all achievements in it.

Gone Home, few hours ago. It was actually awesome and wish more games had the admosphere and the feeling of getting yourself inside the game, be a part of it, feel involved!
Narration and text driven plot was excellent. Highly recommended!

I just finished off Terraria. It's a little odd to beat, as there really is no end game, but I figured beating every boss counts enough. I would definitely recommend it, well, unless you get frustrated easy. Otherwise, it's an awesome game.

Unmechanical - Pretty good puzzle game. The only problem is that it's very, very short and there's almost no plot. Also, in some puzzles it's unclear what to do. Other than that it's a nice game. 7/10

Black Mirror 2: Reigning Evil - Very good point & click adventure game. I love the atmosphere, music, locations ("backgrounds") and of course interesting plot with lots of twists and turns! I don't like that for the first few hours of the game the protagonist is very rude and arrogant. It's hard to like him. Thankfully later it changes. Also, it's not as dark as the first one. First Black Mirror was an adventure horror but this one is adventure thriller, I'd say. It's a very solid adventure game. 8+/10

Batman: Arkham City - finally sat down and played through this one, on hard difficulty, to 100% (not including challenge maps).
The main premise of the story is pretty far-fetched, but the game itself was good so I don't actually care. There are call-outs to a large number of Batman characters and it seems to stay pretty faithful to every single one of them (I was particularly happy with Mister Freeze, since the old Batman & Robin film treated him so horribly). The city itself feels appropriately large and gritty, with insane amounts of detail from the environment artists. The hallmark free-flow combat of the Arkham series works well -- you feel like a badass when taking on a dozen henchmen, even when a few unavoided punches could take you out. Although the switch-up of keybinds from Arkham Asylum threw me at first, the greater variety it allows is mostly worth it. Still, I find myself glancing down at the keyboard mid-combat for a couple of the more esoteric moves, and that usually gets me punched in the face. Playing as Batman or Catwoman, traveling around the city is fun and definitely a bit different depending on which character you're playing. The sidequests are mostly nice. The puzzles are just about varied enough (although I'm tired of explosive gel). And the length of the game is about on par with Asylum. Also, this is one of the very few games I've played where I've been fairly impressed by the ending.
