Have you been recently scammed with a Humble Bundle link that was bought with a fraudulent card, then no problem! If you downloaded you games before they got removed, go to your Steam folder/SteamApps/common and then just search for your games that you downloaded. You can play the games but it will not appear on Steam. Here you go!

I don't know if this method works for every game and for everyone but it worked for my WB Bundle games.

I buy it myself, but not everyone has that capability. Time for people to check their SES privilege.

I could be wrong since X is the first humble bundle I ever bought, but I think all bundles are like that as usually they say the bundles are DRM free. As such there is no checking to make sure that this is a legitimate version of the software or not, which I'm guessing is why it works.
That doesn't mean you can go out scamming illegal copies since it goes against the whole point of the humble bundle but thought that if my information is right, it might be good to know :).

Hes only pointing out that OP is essentially talking about the same thing. Both, legally speaking, are seen as piracy since you are gaining access to and ability to play a game that you didnt pay the developer for. SG has had a lot of discussions about piracy, unlike other sites the mere mention of piracy doesnt send the mods into a tizzy. Advocating for piracy or informing people how to pirate is an entirely different matter and is indeed frowned upon.

Ummm, I'd be careful telling people a "trick" to play games they didn't pay for around here. And if those games were steamworks, they are probably still talking to a valve server which may cause problems for your account later...

Sorry to hear you got scammed, but take it as a cheap lesson and buy from humble directly next time...

I think it won't cause any problems, because it would say if they were any connections. Anyway multiplayer does not work for the games. If people encounter any problems i'll just close the topic. :)

I discovered this when all that Blackwell game bs was going on. Its obvious when you think about it as steam cannot delete files from your computer.
