Darksiders Franchise Pack - got bundled, a lot of people lost their lvls - you are one of them, because they make giveaways for games on sale and they expect to lvl up quickly. Too bad their knowledge about this site's system is too low.

Don't worry I was like that too in the beginning. Went down from lvl 3 or 4 to lvl 1. Time passed, I got my lvl back and I agree with this system.

Sometimes it fails, I agree, especially because of Russian prices and price mistakes, but it has pros too. It makes us give more to keep our lvl, otherwise we would just buy few non bundled games during sales and keep our lvl for forever.

That's kind of the point, to encourage people to give away non-bundled games rather than just have thousands of giveaways for games that could be had for $1. To my understanding, at one time this site didn't allow bundled giveaways at all. Now they're allowed but with a drastic cut to CV.

Some of the games you've given away have been included in a bundle recently, so their point value has dropped and so did your level.

I don't. If I had the money to make giveaways I'd just give certain games from bundles so at least they probs wouldn't go even lower in price.

But I think that is a bad decision, because if i donate and reach this level, why I rollback?

Because value is transient. That's just how it goes. :)

You gave away something that had one valuation and then had that valuation adjusted. Sorry.

I don't know if stats pages show losses of points. I just know mine shows a steady, snail-like progression to 4.41.

It's been like this for a long time. The bundle list is updated manually by one person. If a game is heavily discounted you can expect it to be added.

If I buy gold for $1500 an ounce and the market crashes for it the same day and the value drops to $1000 I won't be able to sell my gold for $1500 anymore. Get it?

You've been here for three months so you've had plenty of time to read the F.A.Q. to figure out how it works. If you don't like it then don't play here.

because if i donate

Don't treat what you do here as a donation. It is your choice to give games. Not a chance to level up. Take it at face value and enjoy the fact you made somebody else happy.

"No reason" probably means that some of your giveaways:
a) were retroactively added to the bundle list because of reasons. (actually being bundled, or being too deeply discounted)
b) had their price on the Steam store change. Either planned, or because of price glitch.

Issues due to price glitches should sort themselves out over time. The rest is how the site works.

What other policies do you think should change because the policies should cater to your needs/whims?

If it's changed to that, then you would see a flood of really short giveaways after a new bundle is launched, or when something gets a really high discount, because people would try to dodge the system.

I think it should be explaind more clearly about levels in FAQ so that we get less questions about why levels dropped. :) Im sure we will still get a lot, but less.

From FAQ

Giveaways for bundle games created after the bundle date will always receive 15% of their value. For example, if you gift 2 copies of a $20 bundle game, you would receive $6 (3 + 3) in value towards your level. Keep in mind that changes to the list of bundle games will apply retroactively, so if a bundle begins today, attempting to gift the game before it's added to the list will offer no advantage. Games may also be added to the bundle list if they're available for free during a promotion, or if they're highly discounted in a sale.

True, it happens. Yes, I agree that this discourages people to give away bundled games, but still, isn't it the best decision? What else should the site have done?

Aren't like 99% of games given on this site bundle games? If your argument is that it stops people from giving away non-bundled games, eh.
