The GTA: Trilogy trailer is out. I'm kind of underwhelmed by it. $60 / 60€ price. Coming November 11th.

The graphics looks like very ugly and the price is too big. I stay with original games!

I completely agree with you on this. I absolutely do not see a point in this. I would've rather seen them remake the game in their engine that they've used for RDR2, for instance..

I guess Rockstar wants to get more money with bad remasters. They banned a lot of good mods and now they will release a bad "definitive edition". That's non-sense. I dont support this move so i dont buy remasters from Rockstar.

I guess it'a all opinions but at least, they made way more than Nintendo did with the Super Mario thing for Switch.

Not on Steam!, 60 bucks for updated version of 3 old games that we have? Rockstar more like GreedStar...

Looks good enough to me, certainly not ugly. I might bite somewhen later, on sale and if it appears on Steam. Or at least runs on Steam Deck. :p
It has no priority at all as I already played them. But for younger gamers this should be great.

Looks like the characters are made out of plasticine, but i’ll probably still get it on PS4, been wanting to replay VC and SA for quite some time. Definetly waiting for the price to halve on the used market though before buying.

SanAndreas remastered will be on xbox game pass,
in some periods xbox game pass can be get at $1€ with new account,
and for me would be OK to play it in this way on PC via XGP

About San Andreas and GTA3,
Old games is Old games,
remastered or not,
GTA3 is out (if i not remember wrong) around 9 years ago...

So... i guess for me , would be not a problem to WAiT another 2 years to see an 80% discount
and apply to it a -$10€ rewards.microsoft.com discount , for get the trilogy at around $2€

And we are talking not about a GTA3,remaked from 0 with an unreal engine 5...
we are talking about the old games most of people already own,
where they apply some sort of "mods" but in an official way...
(better textures, better controls, raytracing maybe better light and shadows etc.)

The good news,at least for me,is that the Storytelling\Mission it's the SAME,so i don't lose so much if i play the older versions (that i own all) yes i can lose beautiful detailed, colorful and graphycally updated enviroments, buildings, cars etc. but the storytelling\quests will remain same

if in the next 2 years i will be on wrong (but i doubt considered that all my predictions always happen until now about deals\prices etc.)
i don't lose nothing i can play the old versions that i own already and would not be a big problem for me to play them with old gameplay\controls etc.
if viceversa i'm right i willget it for $2€
So i will patiently wait and see..

The same thing i do for Playstation Exclusives (Now on PC),for the $25 DLC of AnimalCrossing, and for the directors cut of DeathStranding, and also if all People say DMC5 with raytracing it's a PS5 exclusive too i still wait also for that,i'm sure one day or another it will come to PC too,i don't give up,and btw i'm not a big fan of dmc too so it's a game ttha i can "Lose" if not come.

For sure if rockstargames (that like so much to write about the "fans"),
give this new version to who buy already all the 3 old games for free they made a better figure,
instead of do the opposite like now by ignore and disappoint who support them by buy the games before...
but ok up to them...they own the company, theycreate the game, and is up to them to decide,
people then have the freedom to NOT buy if disagree.

Anyway recently this look the trend of the videogames industry,
apply a little bit of raytracing, textures to old games and resell it as a new product
with full 59\69\99 price
instead of just release a free or pay dlc\patch
and personally i don't like , this , i see it as an not honest way to sell things,
especially if these then become sort of exclusives,or others economic pratices (see fifa22 without hypermotion on pc for sell it at $99€ in consoles with the excuses that PC players can have "old hw" , why PS5and XSX is new hw? they looks like 11 years 3.6ghz cpu...)

if you can apply some water puddles on dmc5,
it's mean you can also release a patch (or a pay patch) for the old owners...
bah...

These publishers still create toxic enviroments in gamers\customers,
still discourage purchases a release,in this way,
and still creaate a global feel where people then lose trust in vg industry,
also there is an exagerate use of sell dlcs in ssport\racing\figthing games,
this in my opinion in long teerms is not good,NOT for the customer, but or the industry self.
i hope for them i'm in wrong, but i not think.

it's same if a shop cheat you 1 time,2 time.. then the third time probabily you stop buy from them..
so the "chheat" can be applied for a short period,
but this shor period start since the elder scroll oblivion will finish soon in my opinion,
because gamers\customers community now is big,and hve interactions tools (redditss, socials etc.)
and they still already now manifest disappoints in how videogames is sell with multiple dlc, microtransactions etc.
so i believe soon people don't buy "Easy" same before games at start\release because they see already how these publisshers like to sell many separate things, better wait 2years and then buy the full product ¯_(ツ)_/¯.

And if a dlc it's like the witcher 3 ok i can understand...
But see games as street fighter V or games about racingcars...
they have 40 DLcs or + for each 1 character or call sellat part, this is absurd.
And it's considered right now Legal and Normal.
For me this is scam\fraud,and is not normal,i'm sure one day vg industry will face with this problem,
if you want to sell a Tshirt you sell i wen i FULL, not give me Wires an Buttons at rent or episodes..
and ok a software\digital product is can't be compared with a physic thsirt, but is not honest, not legal in future probably too ,and not respectful to sell these games with all these fucking20-40 dlc
You want sell a fight or race game, sell it when complete, finished at 1PRICE single and honest,
and not at 59 +10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10
WTF.

The industry taught us to differentiate between DLC like Horse Armor (which is a pure money grab) and Expansion (like Shivering Isles which adds hours of playtime) although both are DLC technically.

Now we see the trend of a "base" game being a pure husk only to become an enjoyable experience if you add DLC sold at multiples of the price of the base game.

"base" games are more leaning towards being paid online demo accesses nowadays. all the worst things we can think of when it comes to ridiculously unfair monetization pretty much merge into a single environment

The hell is with the third game? The first two games look like proper remasters (character models look nice, the first game as a nice dark urban vibe, the second game finally looks as colorful as it was always indicated it actually should be), but their character models look way better than the third game's.

Rather, the third game's models look completely out of place in the remastered surrounding art. Yech. Hopefully that's just an illusion of the trailer..? Well, given how Mafia III's Definitive Edition similarly [though even moreso] shortchanged expectations, maybe there's just something about "threes" that gets developers/publishers skipping out..

This, as it is, would be interesting if Rockstar hasn't made before things like GTA 5 or RDR. But you can't, after showing that impressive graph muscle, put a 60$ price tag and exclusivity in a thing that looks old before being released. This is a remake of the bad ones, "Let's expand to 4k, let's pick the old high res textures we did to prepare the game, let's add reflections and better transparencies and hit the compile button" Sure it will have its work behind, but the trailer just looks like a beefed-up version of the same games, just something an independent modder could have released for fun. Also, I find insulting that they say that want to "keep the vibes" of the old games. Keep the vibes if you want but please do not keep the old meshes and animations.

Also, it does not stand well against current games at the same price tag. Sure it is a lot of gaming time by 60 bucks, but please compare it with a modern title. do you think this will attract new players? I think they're just selling pricey shiny nostalgia

Characters look like wax figures, too overpriced for 20 year old games, and most likely a ton of licensed music cut from the original release.

I tried replaying San Andreas a few months ago. It was a rough experience, even with mods. The controls are wonky by today's standards, the performance sucks, and it crashed way too much. It's still a great game but it definitely needed an upgrade.
