Steam doesn't ban you for using exploited key, all they do is revoke it.

LOL they are using WebMoney with a Kiwi Virtual Visa with no credit and the payment is postpone for a few days. So they Get the keys then cancel the subscription.

why are u concerned? Do u own IGN? let those guys make giveaways, i wish i had those games!

It's not just IGN being hurt my the exploit system. The developers who made the game are no doubt losing sales because of this as well. Even if people weren't going to buy it now, someone who wins one of the giveaways or gets traded a key might have bought it when it goes on sale. Not to mention that the exploited keys will likely be removed, meaning anyone who trades something for them will have their stuff lost.

Nah, it's the developer's fault for accepting the deal - but mostly IGN's.
The problem we're facing here is that we can't be sure whether or not the way these keys were obtained is fraud. But reviewing the previous comments, I feel I can safely say IGN has a lot to answer for. The devs, I believe, could ask for their game to be removed due to the buggy nature of IGN Prime and what it has led to. This is if we consider they did not know about all the bugs.
If the devs knew about the glitches, it's their own fault for accepting the contract anyway.

I doubt the devs knew about the glitches. I'd know of people abusing IGN Prime trials for games, but nothing quite on this scale. People with 40-50+ codes for the games.
I agree that the most action that will be taken is having them removed. But that doesn't help the fact that some people will play through the games by then and not be interested in picking it up once more. It also means a lot of people who trade for the keys without knowing about the exploit will lose out.
I do agree the fault does fall to IGN for letting this slip by. But at the same time, it wouldn't be a problem if people didn't abuse it either. We'll just have to see what actions they take. I'm interested due to the fact I won one of the keys myself, and as such I have to keep track so I can see if the game is removed.

That's why I mentioned that it wouldn't be a problem if people didn't abuse the system. I agree that it's not like they're innocent in what they've done. My point was more that IGN needs to be more careful with their systems as this doesn't only hurt them but the devs as well. Abusing a system in a way like that, legal or not, isn't right.

Another one problem - you always have a chance that exploited keys will be banned/suspended.
IMHO, i don't want to mess with exploited keys. (If i don't want to pay, i prefer cracked games from torrents, but not exploited games in my steam account)

The revoked the BF3/MW3/AC:R keys which were exploited last year.

Nope, but it's probably not legit if they already redeemed the game to their own account. Check to see if the guy already has all the IGN Prime games to his name, since that's a pretty obvious indication that he's either paying for two accounts (yeah, right) or stealing them.

Yeah, he had it already. Although the guy who offered me Choplifer said he only has Choplifter&King Arthur. So maybe he just had those 2 already. Hm...
Another guy just added me, he said he has all of the IGN games, I looked at his profile, he did many trades in the last days and all of them have Choplifter/QUBE/other IGN games in their gameslist now. Seems legit... :|
I think it's basically impossible atm to trade for QUBE/Choplifter now since most of those keys are from an exploited account. And those who just have one of the IGN games already and don't need their key from their legit account can't really proof it. That sucks.

But i hv the biggest ques.! How everytime on steam there are more than 50 giveaways?
What i mean is continuously so much giveaways are created! there are chances that 10-15% of them got it and didn't want the game coz they either hv the game or don't like that kinda game. But what about the others. Nobody (or hard anybody) likes to buy a game and give it to someone unknown! So the biggest ques. is from where to get so much steam codes?
Now i knw that the common games like Qube,Hacker Evo.,King Arthur etc.are fom IGN Prime but what about other games like Half Life,Humble Bundles, Plants vs. Zombies etc.
These all are continuously found in the list. One closes and other two begin! And most of them are by different creators!

Most of you know that IGN Prime is currently giving away some games to those that subscribe to it, and that there are giveaway of these games being held here. However, how come people are giving away 5 copies of Choplifter HD or 4 copies of QUBE if they receive a single key for each game per subscription? Don't tell me they paid for 4 or 5 different subscriptions. They probably found a way to fool IGN Prime, didn't they?
