Anyone who liked To The Moon and was emotionally affected by the aspect of the story which demonstrates how someone who thinks differently might perceive the world game should also watch Temple Grandin.

Has anyone else here seen it? Opinions?

I haven't seen it but know the name because I work with (support) people on the autistic spectrum. Thanks for the heads up, I'll have a look at it.

I loved To the Moon. I think the connection here is not terribly significant, though. It's not very relevant to what I enjoyed about the story. Still, thanks for the recommendation. I'm giving it a look.

It's only relevant to the aspect of the story that relates how someone who thinks differently perceives the world. For me, John's desire to do that was the main emotional draw in To The Moon.

That game really reminds me of 2 fairly similar movies, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, and The Classic (pretty emotional korean movie about a relationship, or two). I'll check that out, seemed interesting to begin with.

I just finished watching it, and it's not a bad film, certainly. The biggest complaint I would raise is that some of the scenes were so contrived that the degree of artistic license taken sort of beggared my suspension of disbelief, for lack of any better terminology, and pulled me out of my immersion in the story. I'd still recommend it to anyone with any interest in it.

I forget so quickly - would you describe one of those scenes?

Hey, sorry I'm going so long between replies. I don't spend a lot of time in the forum lately and I've only been checking my replies maybe once or twice a day at most. Without re-watching it with an eye out for them, the only one I can still recall specifically was the last one at the convention. I understand that they're smoothing things out a bit to make it sort of flow better, and for the narrative elegance and for dramatic reasons, but they overdid it in certain parts where it deviates far enough from a realistic scenario in the smaller details that it's jarring enough to break the 'spell' of the story, if you follow my meaning. I guess I can get ahold of it again and re-watch it if you'd like me to be more specific or descriptive. This is about the best I can do right now, since it's not as fresh in my mind and I'm kind of preoccupied right now, though.

I think the connections are a bit loose but I can see how it could remind you of that. That's a great movie and To The Moon is a great game.

Can't tell if you're being positive or negative. She won an Emmy for this role, if that helps.
