Spent a shit-ton on VR equipment and the family only want to play Beat Saber!

Anyway, here are some leftovers, mostly from Indiegala, but some from the Intel/GreenManGaming promotion. All require a VR headset to play (or not for a +1).

Congrats on the new VR equipment! I played Beat Saber elsewhere twice and really enjoyed it, but I hear you - There's a lot more to VR than that...like SUPERHOT VR ;)

I got a cheap i5 3570K processor not long ago, and evidently that upgrade to go along with my GTX1060 makes me VR ready in Nvidia's book. Now I just wish my budget was VR ready...

VR is really fun, unfortunately I'm still trying to figure out how to set up mine after moving into my dorm room. I'll probably need to buy a tripod since the housing people probably won't let me drill into the walls. XD I hope you enjoy your Headset! Which one did you get?

I've got the Vive Pro + wireless, actually I've had it about 9 months now. I think I'd find it very difficult going back to a tethered system. If I was buying now, I'd very seriously consider the Quest, except I'd have to buy games again. And it's Facebook!

Cool ^_^ I have the Valve index and I'm looking forward to hearing when a wireless mod comes out for it XD Tethers are such a pain! The Quest actually does look tempting for smaller games like Beat Saber, and I might actually consider getting that one (or whatever is like it when I can afford it) as a backup/travel companion one day.

I've seen these before, and they sound like they would be interesting to use for this. I'm just not sure how they would work with my dorm ceiling XD I've had command strips fall off the walls and ceiling here a number of times XP

For me, it was one of those "worst case, I'm out $16.00" sort of purchases.

These hangers rely on "strength in numbers" to distribute the weight between all them. If you only use one or two, they won't be nearly as strong as using all of them. I've been using them for a couple of months, and they work very well to keep the cable above your upper back and shoulders. As long as your ceiling is flat (not stucco), they should work very well, at least until you get something wireless.
