Are you an achievement hunter?
Oh gods, the 100% one from L. A. Noire. After doing it, I can say one thing for sure: never attempt it. The game's central storyline is great to play through once and I'd recommend it to most anyone, but it is quite obvious that Rockstar didn't have a single clue about what to do with the rest of the city.

The collectibles were the smallest problem. The insane challenge achievements from the DLCs were bad enough, but the drive all cars one just takes the cake. I swear I spent at least two hours trying to find the last three cars that only spawned during certain desk missions and at a few intersections.

Oh yeah i remember that one, spent like an hour driving for some rare crap on wheels, then found out that it spawns in some chase mission, so i needed to chase a guy, make him stop and get into his car before the mission fails... oh the memories.

Maybe like me: persisting through about two dozen retries, and finally getting lucky enough to kill all four MPs in one shot each in order to stand in the open and start spraying the third car as it turns in the distance.

Driving all the cars is definitely a slog, but I loved this game, it was brilliant. I wish they had done more with the city but I think the setting hindered them slightly with it being set in the past.
However, driving around looking at the old buildings and landmarks was cool. I loved everything about it!

Yeah, the only collectible I actually enjoyed all three times was the landmark one. The reels were a chore and the badges they introduced in the DLCs were just placed in the most ridiculous spots to make the player explore the small tidbits of geometry they designed, but I wish they would have found a better way to show off their map.
The reels and badges themselves probably wouldn't have felt so much of a drag if the hunt wouldn't point out how dead the city is. If you just take a stroll in a GTA after 3, small stuff happens all the time. In LA Noire, it feels like as if they recorded a dozen random conversations and nothing else happens: no events, just traffic and pedestrians doing their three-block rounds without purpose.

My only criticsm would be that the open world felt needlessly open...it is a shame Team Bondi died, LA Noire 2 could have kicked out these little mistakes, especially looking at the progress things like GTA have made.

I loved the game, I liked draining every piece of info I could from it, however my choice of achievement was solely based on rarity for this one.

Cause every time I win something, it takes me like 2-3 months to beat it.
I try to keep the rate fairly even.

And stanley parable achievements are marked as invalid, as they decided that changing windows clock to get achievement is something bad to do, even when it was ok previously, and it didn't show them as invalid at that time >_<

Absolutely 100% fine with invalid achievements, my profile shows 10 invalid because of Stanley Parable. Personally the amount of effort I went to to get them all without SAM whilst being "cheated" with fiddling with the system clock earned them for me. Balls to astats, also at the time, it was a legitimate way of getting them.
I'm completely behind people who alter dates and times to get Christmas only achievements etc. You are still putting the effort in AND playing the game and getting said achievement. Clicking 1 button or so on SAM isn't playing the game.

SAM works, but it can flag your account on achievement websites like astats if you are cheating achievements. I won't allow SAM users into the event.

I was using SAM on WinXP to get cards (it simulates playing a game without downloading), because my iddling app doesn't work on this system
I've once tried to use it to get bugged achievement, which I should get, but I didn't - in LEGO The Lord of the Rings, where I completed the story, but when you'll check my achievements I havent been to Amon Hen ... strange right? ;) but SAM didn't help here

Hi there, I posted earlier with my Astats page showing that I have the achievement "Silence the Serpent". I think that you did add me to your WL since I noticed that the number of WL I am on went up by 1. However, when I try to view the GA, I am getting the error "you're not a member of the giveaway creator's whitelist." I tried logging out and back in, clearing the cache, but am still getting the message. Anything else I could try? Thanks again!

How does this work?
Simple really, I will post a few achievements(they won't be easy) and if you can prove to me you have them prior to the giveaway starting(to prevent cheating you dirty SAM users) you get to enter the giveaway, isn't that cool!
Why base it on achievements?
I am a semi-achievement hunter, I like taking the effort to get achievements on games I like, hopefully this can promote a few people hunting some achievements in the future or even better promote games I love and give them exposure Spoiler/Hint alert, the achievements will probably for games I like, I won't necessarily have them myself though
I have made the requirements how do I enter?

I will use my own discretion and pick for you as per the feedback I've received during previous events
Why did't you include X achievement?!
Because I can only select a few and they will be difficult, if I select ones that are too easy or widespread there will be too many entries, I want to REWARD people who get difficult achievements.

A lot of effort goes into making these, I've had a few negative comments about it in the past, I try and make it as fair as possible but of course some people will be disappointed. Look out for the consolation prizes throughout the event! Everyone can take part!
I'm blacklisted can you remove me?
Probably not, my blacklist is TINY so if you are on it there is a pretty damn good reason you are on it.
Do I get to stay on your whitelist once the events over?
Unfortunately not, everyone who gets entry via having the achievements will be removed once the event is over(unless you've been super nice and I want to keep you around for future non-event giveaways!
