Yes, if someone kicks you in the chest he shouldn't keep playing the match, bur Nani didn't kick him, he was looking at the ball and tried to control it while Arbeloa saw what was going on and just ran into Nani's leg trying to force a red card..
You can see Nani trying to pull back his leg when he saw Arbeloa but there was no time (and no intention to hurt him). Plus, that "tackle" was only for yellow card (dangerous play).
What can I say, Arbeloa did to ManU what Barcelona players usually do (especially against Real).

Your post seemed quite sensible till that last sentence.

Madrid should of had a Pen anyway, and it WAS a red card, high foot = red. harsh maybe, but too bad

From our view in TV Nani's faul deserved for yellow, but from referee view it deserved for red, that looks like he wanted to kill him

Madrid won as they have been doing lately. With referee help and luck. It's the second penalty kick the opposite team is not awarded in 2 days.
Moreover Nani should not have been show a red car as he was clearly not looking at Arbeloa and it was completely inciential.

You completely missed the point.
But intention does take a great role in determining the severity of an action.

The laws of the game regarding violent conduct make absolutely zero mention of intent. It was a red card offence, but admittedly I didn't think that at the time.

From my point of view he was trying to control the ball and was not aware Arbeloa was nearby. So I think that a yellow card could do. But well the referee didn't think as I do.

I kinda agree to an extent. They didn't make mention of the referee's view in the coverage I saw but from certain angles and at full speed it did look pretty bad. Was really surprised when the red card came out at the time but in hindsight it was more understandable.

That kick wasnt Nani's intention (he was only looking at the ball) and as such it was not worth a red card. I was hoping R.Madrid would go through, but that referee ruined an awesome game and M.United awesome play. I totally agree with Mourinho's words, they did not deserve to win. And what infuriates me more is that this will take away all the merit R.Madrid will have in the remaining tournament. People will always say that if it were not by this red card...

Can't believe it. If I was Ferguson I would have walking onto the pitch and punched him, screw the consequences.
Wasn't really going to 10 men which cost us, just don't think the players got their heads together for 10 mins. Nice hit from Modric though.

I don't get why? The only shot City really had for retaining the title was for United to tire themselves out going for the CL and drop points domestically. All this will do is guarantee that United focus on winning the league. Unless of course you're saying that your hatred of United outweighs your support for your team :P

Well we are rivals so yeah im not the biggest fan of united lol Its not the only shot for city to retain the title there is a chance to still win (even tho its a longshot, i mean look at last season for instance united were 10 or so points ahead this time last year) still i dont mind if united win the league jus as long as city give it their best shot and maybe win the FA cup:)

I'm a supporter of F.C. Barcerlona, and thus I'm ussually against anything that benefits Real Madrid (more now since Mourhinho is their coach), but I think that what did Nani was really worth the red card. Actually, it deserves an "orange card", but since there's not such one, the referee could have chosen between yellow or red and any option would have been right (IMO).
In the final match of the Football World Cup 2010 in South Africa, another spanish (and Real Madrid) player, Xabi Alonso, received an even more brutal hit in the chest by the dutch player de Jong. I think he didn't even get the yellow card for that action (although it hurts just seeing the pictures).
So I would say that the red card is not wrong, but it wasn't a wise decision either. From that point on, Manchester United lost all confindence in theirselves and Real Madrid overwhelmed them for the next 15 minutes. After they scored the second goal, there wasn't much more to say.
