Mine was at Everest region last month in Nepal, we were planning to trek up to Everest base camp but took another route to Gokyo Ri because we thought Base Camp route would be overcrowded. Gokyo was really beautiful place, but the route was challenging, we had to overcome the altitude of 5435 meters, toughest trek ever for me.
I guess that would be my last vacation for 2-3 years now.

Well, I went to Colorado Springs, CO (USA) to visit family for two full days plus two travel days between Xmas and New Year's. My last "real" vacation was to Scotland last summer for four nights and two travel days.

Went travelling down west coast of the South Island where I live, nice, rural, raw ocean, plus some caves as well. Fun and peaceful.
Before that, Japan, Summer 2016 for 6 weeks. Also fun, nice to experience a different culture, and the differences between rural communities and big city were astonishing as well.

My last trip was about 10 years ago, I think; my mom and I spent a couple of weeks at Kurshskaya Kosa National Park (Russia). It was a supercheap option for us because my dad had designed this park, and we lived in the local guesthouse for free as friends of the park. It's a pretty cool place (you've got both sea and a freshwater lagoon on different sides of the narrow spit, the dunes are quite impressive, not to mention really high biodiversity), but damn, that was long ago.

I am fortunate to fly somewhere every 3 months or so for a stay away from Beijing due to my work covering much of the cost. Last trip was a 6-country spree that included Kazakhstan, Chernobyl (before the show came out actually!), Morocco, Lisbon, and Paris just before the Notre Dame fire. The flights were economical due to budget airlines that China just lacks, and Almaty had a $1 hotel deal. Travel has been important to me all my adult life, and I still use credit card mile cards to pay my flight costs to get out of this hellscape whenever I can.

just recently... the 2 last weeks of may my husband and i were on cyprus for 11 days... or 9 full days and 2 travel days. was already very hot, and my sun allergy was being a pain. But i enjoyed it a lot.
Last year in the beginning of June we were in Japan for 2 weeks. Our belated honey moon (we wed 1 year before). we had a guided tour in a mini group of 12 ppl. but i was quite exhausting as it was rather a sightseeing trip with walking over 10km a day with barely time to relax.
but it was still very nice and we have seen a lot...so i recommend it to anyone who can spare the money :P

My last two big vacation trips was back in 2017.
First, in spring me and my wife went to selfmade small Eurotour. It was over 2 weeks from Czhech (Praha, České Budějovice, Český Krumlov) to Austria (Wien) and finally to Hungary (Budapest). Plus 5 minutes we spent in Slovakia by the bridge from Esztergom (Hungary). It was a great trip, filled with emotions and impressions!
Second, in Autumn we went to beach holiday for a week in Turkey (Bodrum). It was nice too!
Ah-h-h, and between this events, i tripped to Armenia (Yerevan) for 4 days to a cousin's wedding.
So thats it.
I don't know when and where we'll go on our next trip, because our family has grown a little after that 乁( ◔ ౪◔)ㄏ

My last proper vacations were in 2016, I went to Chile, only time I've been to the pacific.
As to going out for a weekend it was a few months ago when I went with my dad for a business trip (although I was just doing some tourism) through some of the western provinces, although the trip ended pretty badly cos my dad's "boss" had an accident and almost died (I think he still hasn't woken up from the coma).

Me and my family do a 3 week vacation every year, and try to book some weekends as well. No weekends this year so last vacation was last summer, a camping trip. 1 Week Austria, 2 weeks Croatia and a couple of days Germany. We own a tent trailer.

I've never been to Ireland but several of my ancestors are from there. My great-great-great grandmother came to the US on a refugee resettlement ship during the great famine. She was 14 years old, taking the journey alone, and illiterate. She ended up marrying a young man who was himself a recent immigrant from Germany. And 100+ years later I was born. :P

answer: depends ;p in many places air smells wonderful - you're in mountains, quite far from any bigger cities so air is very clean, forest all around you, it's fresh, you smell forest, you smell colder winds when you climb higher etc. But there are parts that do not smell so good. There are parts of both routes (but especially ending of Teplice Ring Route), where you travel via narrow rock corridors without any sunlight access, rocks are also quite damp in many places - and you can imagine what dampness plus lack of sunlight equals as ;) Air in these places can be stale, there's lots of moss on rocks and even mold in some places, so when you go to these corridors it smells like you're in some damp cave or even cellar ;P

wow. the awesome "picture".
also, your answer followed perfectly thoughts i had while looking at pictures/videos, in a weirdly 100% same order:
mountains
clean
colder
no sunlight
damp
stale
moss
mold
...cellar!
still a must see, imo.
thanks. a bunch

must see indeed - views are stunning, the rock towns themselves are actually quite easilly accessible - unlike many other such crazy rock formations in the world, they are pretty short 4-6h long trails, so no need to carry lots of camping equipment with you as you won't be sleeping on a trail, plus I was surprised how inexpensive the whole thing turned out to be - we spent a total of 95EUR total for 2day trip for 2 ppl - including transport (I'd say 1/4 of all expenses), sleeping, entrance fees, boat trip, food, restaurant dinner and shitload of beer while waiting for train home xD When visiting random European city I spend 2-4 times more without transport or accommodation ;p

I am on vacation right now! My son graduated high school this month so we decided to do one big family trip. We have been saving up for quite awhile. We started in Zurich, Switzerland for 4 days, then continued on to Bangkok Thailand, then Chaing Mai, Thailand and now Phuket, Thailand doing some island hopping. Switzerland was hyper expensive for me but Thailand is very cheap. Having a great time everywhere, except for the flights which are soooo long. Headed home in a few days. Gone 3 weeks in total.

My last vacation was about 5 years ago. I won a free trip ("3 days, 2 nights") so my wife and I went to Miami, Florida, USA for a weekend vacation. I live roughly 900 miles/1500km from the nearest ocean so it was almost like going to a different planet for me. :P
Our plane arrived around 8pm (20:00) on the first day, and left at 6:30am on the 3rd day, so the "3 days" was really 1 full day and 2 travel days. But, hey, free is free...
How about you?
