Fallout 2 is solid. Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura was also a great RPG with an interesting world. Or there's the Mount and Blade series which looks like you could sink tons of time into it

Pokemon?

Right now I'm playing Fire Emblem with an emulator in my phone. The counter of the game says 26 hours, but everytime I restart a level(for whatever reason) the counter goes back. So I believe I've spent something like 80 hour in it.

Just Cause 2, probably one of the most underrated gems of all time

Also, the original Rome Total War and/or Medieval II. I still play both to this day, mods are endless.

I like all of the suggestions above, but The Last of Us has eaten up a metric f#$%-ton of my time in the last two years. I have replayed it through many times on both PS3 and PS4. I haven't enjoyed a game like this is a long time, and it is the first title I have played MP on in at least ten years.

Why not any Elder Scrolls game? Well, maybe Just Cause 2?

Edit: Damn, a thing with yellow hair ninja'd it. Guild Wars 1/2?

Edit 2: F$ck, single player games. Hmmm... Dragon Age Origins?

Any GTA you can find, I hear the Mass Effect & Dead Space are meant to be pretty long, if you do EVERYTHING that is, You could try stuff like Minecraft, The Forest, Day Z, 7 Days To Die, Rust, Steamworld Dig, Luftrausers, Really Big Sky/Big Sky Infinity...any of the games like Sid Meier's, Tropico, Total War, Sim City, Europa Universalis...apparently the Gothic & Risen games are good and decently long for the most part (or so I hear), The Darkness...

For PS2, Dark Cloud 2 and Rogue Galaxy are easily over 100 hours and have tons of content. Final Fantasy 12 also took me about 150 hours to do everything.

Wii is more or less just Smash Bros or Zelda Skyward Sword in terms of replay value and length. If you like light gun games, Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles is also packed with content, but it's only a few hours long. REDC can easily last over 50 hours if you try to unlock everything.

How can you mention a Wii and not mention XENOBLADE CHRONICLES. My savefile atm is 150+ hours and I'm nowhere near done with everything.

Yes. Get Rogue Galaxy for PS2, I sank hundreds of hours in that game (a large part of which is raising bugs for fighting). I haven't managed to get a hold of the two Dark Cloud games, but I've heard they are equally compelling.

Eh, I don't like 2nd Edition rules at all. Too many confusing saves, lots of obtuse wossitsis, I just can't have fun with the Baldur's Gates. Neverwinter Nights 2 and it's 3.5 ruleset are much more fun for me.

Garrys Mod

Pretty much any RPG. If you don't mind the old graphics, Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 have hundreds of hours when you consider the expansions. Also Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2 have quite a bit of content (and look less old). And there's always Planescape Torment, one of the best RPG's (but it has fewer play hours than the ones with the expansions).

There's a mod for NWN2 that recreates the first BG in its entirety, also one for Icewind Dale 1.

Comment has been collapsed.

Thanks. Forgot about that BG recreation. Didn't even know about the Icewind Dale one, and now that I checked I see there's also Pool of Radiance Remastered, which is supposed to be good. I'm sure there are many other good mods.

Really, NWN and NWN2 probably have thousands of hours of play if you consider mods.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned these yet.

on the Wii:

Metroid Prime Trilogy
Xenoblade Chronicles

The Last Story

Pandora's Tower (if you like god of war you might like this one for the combat)

Little King's Story

Fragile Dreams (if you can get around some of the gameplay oddities, it's also pretty heavy on exploration and backtracking)

It might be difficult to find copies of some of those games at a good price nowadays though (except for Xenoblade since it's getting a NEW 3DS remake)

PC games I enjoyed:

Torchlight 1 and 2

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing (first one)

Cave Story+

Borderlands (the first one, second is a bit iffy on the balancing)

The Binding of Isaac

Sid Mier's Civilization V (has exploration but AI has a tendency to "cheat" on Deity, mostly multiplayer unless you're playing scenarios though)

Bioshock

Wii: Endless Ocean is fun to collect and explore; very relaxing, great soundtrack.
3/DS: Infinite Space - good luck finding it, but it'll take at least 3-5 playthroughs to see EVERYTHING and one playthrough takes FOREVER. Very great game though.
PC: So many to list; try out XCOM though?
