I tried reaching out to support prior for a ticket that the support was declared as resolved with no resolution, reply, or comment so I am inquiring for help on here.
I just received a negative feedback for no reason.
It says: "Scammed me for three keys and all my trading cards DO NOT TRUST"
I have never talked to this user prior so I don't know who they got scammed by and they only have 3 total feedback(s).
There are no messages between me and him and there is no way to talk to the user themselves without adding their steam account, which I don't trust if they are just going out giving unsupported ratings.
Help?

This isn't Steamtrades, and has nothing to do with it apart from having a link to that site.

You use Steamtrades at your own risk.

Oh, but the support tickets for both steamgifts and steamtrades are reported only on steamgifts Support as mentioned in FAQ.
And other discussions seem to have the same issues prior and have used both the Discussions and Support panel from steamgifts.

SteamGifts mods have zero power at SteamTrades. The only person who has any power over at ST is the site owner.

SteamTrades, reply to the negative rep in a good manner and people can vote for it to remove it

Sometimes you're blessed with a false REP on Steamtrades. Maybe other users will remove the false -rep, but it can take a while.

Oh, okay, thank you!

Also you can answer the -REP that you didn't trade with the user. Since you have more +rep points, it will be easier to other users vote to remove the -rep.

I get that you are frustrated, but what kind of help do you expect from simple vanilla users in a site-related issue?

I'm not that frustrated to be honest. I don't need a rating to dictate the person I am or the account I present.
Though the comments received compared to prior discussion(s) of similar aptitude seems to show a shift in people's moods is a bit alarming.
Why not have some faith in our simple vanilla users?

It is pretty common for scammers to impersonate other Steam users. The user may have been scammed by someone that copied your username and image and now the user thinks you are the person they traded with.

That's a shame. Thanks for your help!

As far as I know Steamtrades is abandoned and won't be further developed, nor do mods do anything about what happens on that site anymore. However if that really is the case then they should remove the "Misuse of trade feedback" from support tickets, instead of allowing them just to close them without actually doing anything about it.

Anyway, like some people here pointed out other ST users can review negative feedback and vote whether it should stay or be removed from profiles. When it comes to that system however, let me say that having a private steam profile doesn't help your case.

Tell the user that gave you negative rep to check their trade history and see which account they actually did trade with; then report that account to Steam. Not like that's gonna do much, but at least there will be one more educated user (check who you're trading with!) and they'll stop blaming you :)
