I always say thank you, be it via email, Steam chat or as a comment on the gifter's Steam profile. If I remember correctly every winner of my giveaways did the same, and if one or two haven't, then I just don't remember. Maybe I just don't care as much to receive a 'thank you' than to give one lol.

If it's a key by e-mail, then it's real easy to reply. If they send you a gift, I believe it automatically adds them after you accept so it shouldn't be that hard.

I normally add people to give them their prize, instead of risking sending it to an outdated email / going to spam filter etc. (that has happened in the past). Therefore, people usually instantly thank me, upon giving them the key/gift, however even while using the chat, some people manage to be as rude as possible.

Have done 5 giveaways and on all of them I got atleast a thanks, actually I have 4 of them on my friend list. You should add them to send them the key, or stop creating public giveaways and reserve them to the forum lurkers / groups.

Well, I think that... maybe 10% or 20% of my winners thanked me replying on my key-mail. So it's kinda common that you don't get any thank in return. I admit that when I win something by email, I rarely reply to their mails. Otherwise, by chat it's nearly 100% sure saying "thanks" after receiving a key.

Sometimes I'll go back to the giveaway page and write a thank you, if they add me directly I thank them 'in person' but if it's e-mailed I typically don't e-mail back... maybe I should be

Yes, I pretty much always get thank yous. But that may be because I add people and send them their wins through chat.

That happens a lot for public giveaways, which is why I make private and group ones. Thank you comments make me feel better.

I don't care about those really. All I need is the idea that whoever wins will be very happy. And maybe someone will who enters will think something along those lines: Good that I have a chance to win this game. Also, most people thank me when receiving the gift. :)

I barely win anything but when I do if they add me I thank them and chat with them,if not I thank in the giveaway.
