Pineapple on pizza is good if it also has black olives and jalapenos. I can't stand it otherwise.

I love pizza, and pineapple. Hawaii pizza - well edible, but that's my standing point on it - if I have the choice I would prefer a well done Margharita over it (unless I want the extra food because super hungry) but I have no problems if that's the only thing to eat :)
Poor pizza gets a little too much flak - if you don't like it, don't eat it. Why is it such a travesty while we eat honey what is the goo that bees vomit out, or raw oyster and such? :|

I love pineapple and canadian bacon, but I have never had a hawian pizza.
Mainly because I like mine drowned in meats. :P
Still, sad to see a pioneer go. RiP.

Not a fan of pineapple on pizza, unless the fruit is really fresh and still has the more spicy taste. This to offset the sweet, which otherwise tends to drown out the flavors of the other toppings.
By the same token, also not a fan of most pizzas having an excessive amount of cheeze dumped on top.
I wouldn't stop others from eating it, or from experimenting with other pizza toppings though. And pineapple isn't the weirdest I've seen, when there's also madmen topping pizzas with things like french fries and hotdog sausages, marshmellows, bananas, döner kebab (on a supposedly Italian-style pizza, yes, not wrapped into a Dürüm).

I like pizza with pineapple, but it has to have other things on it as well. for me Ham, Sausage, bacon, nuts, whatever, I like it as a side flavor rather than the main one :P

Almonds more specifically. You wouldn't immediately think it but sliced almonds go great on it.

Sotirios "Sam" Panopoulos (Greek: Σωτήριος Πανοπούλος; 1934 – 8 June 2017) was a Greek-born Canadian cook and businessman, credited as the inventor of (the much hated) Hawaiian pizza, also known as the pineapple pizza.
Career:
After sampling pizza in Naples, Panopoulos first tried pizza in North America when he visited Windsor, Ontario.
With his brothers Elias and Nikitas, Panopoulos owned the Satellite Restaurant in Chatham, Ontario. They offered typical American items such as burgers and fries, and also American Chinese dishes, some of which also mix sweet and savory flavours. In the early 1960s Panopoulos started offering pizzas, recently popular in the USA. In 1962 he had the idea to add canned pineapple to pizza. This innovation (sometimes disputed) was not immediately popular with his customers, and over time has earned the disdain of pizza puritans.
