Since I didn't found this information anywhere around here and it could be interesting for gifters and traders, so I thought I'm gonna post it.

If you buy an Indie Royale Bundle with an E-Mail which also belongs to a Desura Account (Still a bit unsure about this), the Desura Key can only be redeemed on this specific Account. If another account tries to activate it, it shows up this message:

"The The Snow Storm Bundle gift you are trying to accept has been sent to the member /DesuraNameOfBuyer/. You will need to contact the person who sent you the gift and see if they have another copy to gift you."

Although I know this part of the F.A.Q.,:

Can I share games / bundle / Desura keys if I already own a game in the bundle?

Indie Royale bundles are strictly for personal use only. Sharing Steam keys because you already own a game in the bundle is not allowed. The same applies for Desura keys. If your friend wants a bundle you should gift them or they can purchase it themselves.

The idea behind Indie Royale bundles is to support indie games, we always offer excellent games at a price you cannot beat - so please recognize this and support the developers participating by buying your own bundle.

I was still a bit suprised that they actually put a lock on it to avoid it.

After contacting support, how I can redeem the key on my new Desura account, since my older one which its locked to is no longer in use, they offered me to merge the 2 accounts. So it seems that there's no way to avoid the lock.

PS: No the Desura key was not used before and is not auto-activated on the reference account.

my desura keys all came as one activation code per bundle. i know i used at least 3 different emails over the time. i also gave some steam keys to my missus as they were something she was after then i just had the same game on the desura key. i always used the same paypal though. we are both on the same ip as well.

I know a lot of people with that problem. I think all people who bought the firsts indie royales have the same problem.
The solution is contact with the support or buy the games with a new email account.

They've been doing this since they started the Indie Royale. If you weren't aware, Indie Royale is run by Desura and IndieGames.com

I believe the only way to get around this is to purchase the bundle without being logged into an Indie Royale account.
