Remember, those are sequential reads and writes. For an drive, random reads and writes are almost more important, or at least as important. Its the random reads and writes that make SSDs feel much faster than HDDs.

I've got a 240gig... it's really best that you DO NOT put games on an ssd. By their nature, they die down via read/write ... it's a good place to house your os, startups, any large progs you may run now and then. Honestly, my drive is stupid-large for the use I get out of it. 6 second boot is great, but I've got 80? gigs completely unused.

I am using an old laptop, but i recently helped a friend get a Lenovo Laptop with 500GB HDD and 24GB SSD which satisfies the boot requirement for him.

Fast, reliable and slowly dropping in price.
I myself am using a Solid State Drive (SanDisk Extreme SSD 120GB). Whilst not being extremely expensive, it still gets the job done at very snappy speeds.
I would just like to know what SSD's people have in their computers and any recommendations you may have.
