im a forum lurker, give away stuff when i can, unfortunately that has decreased dramatically ever since valve put those stupid region locks (i'm in an affected region) so i'm slowly turning into a leech :(

I do try to keep my won/given ratio roughly the same though i've been slipping a lot lately...

I originally signed to SG to give away games. Been giving them before and was happy to find a place. These days I'm mostly inactive. I give a little more at the GOG forum, but not by much.

Wanted to pick the Borderlands reference, but I changed my mind and decided to be honest instead. :D

I voted "I'm so unlucky" but just because it's the funnier answer.

I'm unlucky, not stupid. When I have nearly 10 giveaways hosted, over 500 losses, and 0 wins, there's something wrong. And it's not like I'm predominantly giving away bundle cruft or cheap games.

I'm somewhere between the 4th and 5th answers. I like to give more than I receive, but I also like participating in the community and have dropped a lot of keys/links. This place can really be a timesink, though.

I don't keep up with my wins. A look at my profile clearly shows that. I pick up games on deals to giveaway not because of CV but because that's what I can afford to give. I have bought some games to giveaway just to give back that weren't too cheap at the time like dungeon siege 3 and hitman absolution (they've fallen in price a lot since then). But most of my wins are bundle games and most of my GAs are bundle games. I just participate mainly in a bundle group.

Why feel the need to put down people who can't give as much though? it's like you automatically assumed that if people haven't given away as much as they have won then they're immediately bad people. I know you don't say as much but your poll wording shows such an opinion. Not everyone can spare so much to giveaway. And before anyone pulls out examples of people in the community who give away lots even though they have little... yes, I'm aware of them... but management of money is a personal business. If that person feels that's how they want to spend their allotted money then kudos to them. Not everyone has the same priorities.

I usually join quite a few giveaways, but I try to make giveaways often. I can't really right now, but I hope soon I can go back to giving away multiple games.

That said, the winner of my last giveaway has been offline for almost 3 days, I'm starting to worry.

I enter in giveaways for games I'd like to play, sometimes I give something back (mostly games I tried and liked)
