Recently, I've won 2 Mass giveaways (50+) and the games have not actually been what was given away. One of the users was under a month suspension, until they recently got it appealed, and the other user has many other mass giveaways that are currently running and more starting soon. Does this happen often, or is it just something to get multiple users suspended because they accidentally clicked "Received"? Also, have you ever been burned for marking a key as received on accident?

Please don't hate me, but I used simple puzzles because bots ruin the fun
Here's some extra keys that can't be given away (Please list which ones that you sniped, so that I can remove them from the list):

According to the poll votes so far, people who give the wrong game away are potatoes, even if they were given the wrong key by whichever source they obtained the key from and have no way of knowing that until it's too late.

Why throw out keys without titles? I do not want to take a random game that I do not want. Pass. Thx anyway

I had quite a few leftover keys from previous giveaways. I just put them out and hoped that they would find a home somewhere, instead of being idled by myself. It depends on if the user wants to put the effort to get a game that they may or may not already own. It's like when giveaway groups post a ton of keys for random games. Some people make puzzles without revealing the game given away. After you take an hour to solve the puzzle, you find out that you already own the game that is being given away. It's really the same concept.

Bump and meow. I wish all would work smoothly, and for the most part, things do here.

I've noticed an increase in number of topics about this subject, hopefully something is done to fix this issue.

I would guess that this scenario would be under "Misleading Giveaways" or "Fake Giveaway", but they give only 3 and 5 days suspension respectively. It kinda feels short while cause so much chaos to both users and support when it's a mass giveaway.

  • A person who makes a giveaway is responsible for delivering the game he/she promises.
  • The winner is responsible for redeeming the won game to his/her account upon delivery.
  • If anything other than then won game is delivered to the winner, the game is still considered "not received."
  • A game should only be marked "received" once it has actually been received and redeemed, not before.
  • If you accidentally mark a game "received" when it is not, just toggle the "received" button off, again.

As with all problems, contact Support if you are having issues. We check your outstanding tickets before messing with your account.
