It shouldn't be against the rules. That's just stupid.
it's steam gifts... free games... seriously?
The user has the games already and is willing to give them away... suddenly people are getting picky?
Limiting what people are allowed to give away is seriously not within the spirit of giving. It's just like that derp user with 0 giveaways whining that there are always the same giveaways...
The only real rule that should be here is don't do fake giveaways and get banned... but then again we aren't paying for anything :|

Uhm, even though it's all free here, the developers of these games do not work for free. Support them. Give away the whole Indie Bundle deal if you are going to do so. It is not right to buy an Indie Bundle then give the 5 or so games on it to 5 different people.

Why the heck not? You bought it, why aren't you allowed to give away each game separately? You're still supporting the indie devs as well as giving their games away and pretty much advertising the developer (no one is stealing anything from anyone... you're allowed to buy gifts for other people from the humble deals... why aren't allowed to gift them then?). It's a stupid reason not to be allowed to give them away. If that's not allowed because of whatever reason... maybe because a user can buy it dirt cheap... then same rule should apply to games on steam that are on sale...

Because with the Humdle Indie Bundles, for example, the Humble link you receive gives you access to Steam keys, Desura keys AND direct downloads. The user who bought the Bundle can give the Steam keys away and then use the Desura keys and/or direct downloads however he pleases. This is why you should be giving the whole Humble link away instead of picking and choosing which of them to give away. So 3 people can own the one copy of the game (Desura key, Steam key, direct download) and if you cannot see why this isn't right then I don't know what else to say.

the only real thing that isn't right is buying the bundle for 0.01.
in this particular situation the user already owns the copy of the game and is gifting a steam key.
in other situations they may be giving away the url.
in other situations they may be doing what you're saying...
i haven't ran into that yet...
to me it doesn't matter.
just like users who buy cheap(stolen) cd keys and gift them here.

You may not have, but others have complained. Some want only Steam keys, some want Desura ones, some what only the downloads. In order to minimize confusion, bundles must be offered unused so that you get everything in the bundle that is expected. This is expecially problematic since I imagine most people want Steam keys, and having a bundle url full of Desura keys would be useless or at least considered highly inconvenient for most people (I have nothing against Desura but this is STEAMgifts so I imagine most people want Steam not Desura keys)
Not parsing out or splitting bundles ensure that if you give away the bundle you get everything in it as it was originally distributed.
Cheap Russian keys have an entirely different set of problems. Feel free to talk to everyone who got the Russian Skyrim and how much fun they are having not playing the game after every single update breaks the game. Or how you have to re-autehnticate to the Russian VPN servers sometimes. Or how it's against the Steam SSA to do so and you can have your game revoked. etc etc

I'm sorry, but this didn't happen overnight. It wasn't a sudden decision, moreso months and months of community input on how to handle the floods of bundle games being submitted. This has been what works and keeps the requests to get rid of the "giveaway spam" down to a minimum. People are already demanding as it is to do away with bundles altogether due to at least 100+ being submitted every few hours. If we allowed individual keys from the bundles, it would front page chaos for weeks. The community has spoken, not the moderators, and this was the outcome of all the discussions.
We appreciate your input.

I may be mistaken, but didn't the bundle people (or was it just HIB) also specifically state that they don't want the keys handed out to different people?

In common sense, no.
In SG sense, yes, since everyone here is absurdly ungrateful.
Sorry, but some mod is going to delete it, and you can't do anything. It'll always be like this. Give something for free to the community and be completely rejected.
Feels like this website is a gang of picky dogs who will crap over your face if you do something they don't like.

Humble Bundle and the other indie bundle programs forbid this, so a site has to accept that. If it didn't, there would be no SteamGifts. But it still happens everywhere anyway, be it through a game of 'Grab the Key before another guy does' or a friendly distribution of x amount of games to one friend and y amount to another. Still, the site cannot allow it so it's forbidden.

I'm sorry, your comments are very mean spirited and absolutely incorrect. We have many reasons to deny individual games being submitted from bundles, but the community has spoken many, many times after sharing countless input over the past few months as we've tried different methods on how to handle these giveaways. After all these hundreds of responses over several months, this has been what works and keeps the community happy. Otherwise, we are completely overwhelmed with "get rid of the giveaway spam" PMs, tickets, and forum threads.
If you have anything else to add, we appreciate any suggestions you may have.

All I see from coming from this guy is shit. All he does is whine, complain and state things wrongfully as he pleases.
You sir, are an idiot and you should get the fuck out of this website.

Hi masters
I created my first giveaway and my first comment received was "against the rules", so I wish to know if I really breaking any rule and how to fix it.
