Arma 2 which version should I get?

Which version should I buy combined operation or complete edition? Also want to play dayz

Combined ops is enough to play DayZ mod, although if you want to play stock arma2 complete edition adds more objects+textures and scenarios to play around with.

Goes on sale regularly, try to get it via steam cause from experience, getting it anywhere else turns you into a tech support expert trying to get everything to run properly.

P.S. Remember to get DayZ Commander if you want the DayZ mod.

Someone told me if I get the dlc I get better graphic in dayz is that true?

Yes, dependent on what the server is running (like DayZ Epoch or Overwatch) it can improve the graphics, mainly textures.

Not needed but doesn't hurt. Usually you can buy Arma 2 Complete very cheap anyway when it is on sale.

Combined operation is enought to play dayz mod. Buy Complete edition, if you wan't other DLC's.
