There's nothing wrong with your thread, even if it was not intended to help people. People are not obliged to email you if they don't like it.
Don't give up your stuff because of criticism or hurtful people. Internet (and especially gaming community) has a lot of potential sociopaths with their dirty fingers eager for something to point and judge.
