this is perhaps not something you should say out loud on the forum - there are many people who dislike this and blacklist accordingly - just want to make you aware of that in-case you didn't realise - it is harsh, but people have all sorts of BL reasons ! - better to not give them any more :)

Not wanting to give away stuff to someone who goes out of their way to ruin other people's entertainment and fun is understandable. It's probably one of the most valid reasons to blacklist there is if you ask me. Cheaters deserve everything bad they got coming.

false positives are not unheard of, so I choose not to automatically accuse, or blacklist, someone without appropriate information.
Knee jerk reactions based upon a lack of data can do more harm than good, as has been the case with myself on occasion; not to mention that just because someone may have made a mistake, concious or not, does not warrant a torch wielding bunch of people hammering their own feelings onto that person as well :) - that potentially just creates more bad feeling and further issues
but I am probably in the minority in not wanting to make snap judgements without true data, in this insance :)

I don't think it's a joke. I think it's just something people say in a failed attempt to be creative / funny.
Edit: Apparently it originated from the SEA region where they call "DOTA" - "DOTO" so people just took Valve and replaced E with O for fun.

Well, the randomly adding an u to english words seems to be more of a weeb thing, not a SEA thing.
I always assumed most weebs are actually from non-Asian countries since the word originally came from wapanese as in wannabe-japanese.
But this is like the 50th time I hear Volvo instead of Valve so it seems to be intentional.

I think for a large group it's always seen as the cheapo car, a brand you wouldn't be as proud to show as a BMW or Mercedes. But i could be wrong.
Like buying your shirts for $10 vs $50 and how people in school could pick on you for that for wearing the cheap store clothes.

On a sidenote: Volvo isn't really considered a cheap brand here (in Austria). It's more of a boring / family car.

Yeah Volvo isn't a luxury car, but cheap? I'd associate more Toyota or some ford types for America at least. Volvo is a really safe car and usually not to pretty so I always associated it as first cars parents would get thier children so they would be safe, or cars parents would buy to make sure thier family is safe.

Maybe I phrased that wrong but that's pretty much what I ment. Where I live (Austria) Volvo is by no means considered a cheap car.
Volvo's USP (Unique Selling Position) is reliability which often gives them them the image of a rather boring or family car. (think station wagon) The only (common) car brands that have sort of a cheap image here are Skoda and to a certain degree Volkswagen since as the name already implies it's a car for the people. But they'd rather you don't look up for which people originally :D Fanta too by the way ^^

Personally I think that in general now Volvo makes cars that are much more pleasing visually than BMW or Mercedes. But I work as an accountant librarian so I'm basically a walking definition of "boring" XD
And just for the record here in Poland Volvos are also considered a nice, reliable cars, but not really cheap ones.

I managed to get an actual, highly professional footage of a wild librarian in their natural habitat. The summer this year is quite cold so females refrain from displaying their assets in favour of a warmer attire.

VAC makes no sense.
No one goes to prison for the rest of his life if he stole candy at the age of 12.
They get shot on sight, I don't know why valve just doesn't ban their accounts along with their CC, PayPal, and email.

Vac didn't always perm ban people who cheated, people used to get a 5 year ban but it soon became apparent that they kept cheating so they made the bans perm.
Vac makes perfect sense don't cheat you won't get Vac banned, simple.

it makes totally sense. you are gaining an advantage in a competitive game. You are destroying the fun and purpose of a game. Would you want to play any kind of game against a cheater?
