You have to wait until the sale starts. Then the cards will get their pics and titles (now they are only mysterious), and you will be able to craft the badges.

aaand gem market crashed:-) i also sold all my stock, i guess i can buy back double-triple amount of the gems at end of the winter sale, so i can craft more booster for my levels for more rare games.
Not expected free cards-gems crap will happen again.

The bigger influence is probably all the people hoarding cards to craft for such an event. Lots of badges crafted results in lots of backgrounds and emotes that end up getting turned into gems since they aren't worth selling on the market.

spend money when the sale starts, use discovery cue per day, and maybe something to do with the winter sale event (whatever it is this year)...

Confirmed. I just crafted a badge, and leveled without realizing :P , and got a mysterious card 8. My lucky number too considering that today's Friday the 13th. And it's already staring off bad as I woke up with a stiff neck.

Is it just me, or does it seem that there isn't much interest in the Event Cards so far? I'm used to seeing the Card Trading forum filled with people buying and selling Mysterious Cards, and there's not much of anything happening after the first day of card availability...

Noice! Just crafted 39 badges, gained 4 levels (finally reached level 100 :D), and now I have plenty of cards to turn into funds for the upcoming sale :)
Also some of the emoticons and backgrounds I got are nice, but that's just an extra.
