3 tiered humble bundles.. :(
Don't like the way this is heading.

I predict they will start doing this for future bundles as well.

They've already done it before for weeklies. Top tiers are still set up to be worth the price all by themselves, at fixed price point. As long as they keep that up I don't see a real problem.

People who complain about a value that you can't get anywhere else are just cheapasses and probably doing so solely out of concern for their own sense of spoiled greed.

While I don't really care about HB doing it since the 1$ was where the good ones were anyway in this case paying 15$ for everything is only if you want to donate to charity since you could get civ 5 + all expansion by little over half that.

Not sure where you can get $100 worth of games for less than $10... because even at 75% off (and getting Civ5 for free from GMG back when they had the promo) that's still $17.50 worth of DLC alone. And you're still getting Pirates! plus the other 5 games from the $1 tier.

First as I said the 1$ is pretty good if paypal wasn't refusing to link with my bank account I would have bought it.

As for civ 5:

The game itself you could have gotten for free but if not that until last month at the very least there were still people with keys from that promotion and it was pretty cheap to get.

Gold edition upgrade(includes everything but the two DLC and the BNW expansion) you could find for a few bucks at most, several friends of mine got it for 2$.

That leaves the two scrambled DLCs and BNW which as newest would cost you by far the most at around 10$ or so.

Account for tax and so on would put it at about 17$ if you also get the 1$ HB except you still don't have 10 DLCs which assuming you get for 75% discount would be 10$ by themselves.

I don't really mind it. Sure, it's a bit extra to pay but it's still cheap. Maybe it will result in some better bundles...

If they had a game that I deemed worth $15 for the $15 tier, I would gladly pay the $15 amount. But for a Civ 5 DLC, or a boring-looking early access game? No thanks, just making the BTA price higher. I usually pay $5.00 more or so than the BTA, and then buy a few for friends at the BTA/$1 tier. I just don't like the way this is heading, looks like they're trying to come up with more ways to take people's money. I know it's "For charity" but not all of it is, so I feel I can complain. Humble can get good tax breaks for their "Charitable acts" so it's not all in good faith.

Its hard for me to comment on this, on one hand I think its good because now they might bring out say a really high tier game of which would of been unlikely before now that they have 3 tiers. On the other hand it kind of feels a lil dodge, like I know the point is to help charity and the developer and all that. But its just kind of like it feels like they arn't what they used to say they are anymore. It was advertised as a pay what you want, and if you BTA then you get a bonus. Now it just feels forced, more like we will only put the good games on the BTA and we will have a high third tier to increase that. I know I shouldn't hate it for where the money is going to and its still an amazing deal, but I still feel like they are dodging me out. I would like to pay 20 bucks because I like the games and the cause instead of because thats the only way I can get that particular game that I want.

I don't mind it, although with the amount of games already in my library, it makes it unlikely that I'll want to purchase enough of the three tiers to justify the Super-BTA price.

Well just remember if you're not cool with this - feel free to obtain same games for over 100$ directly from steam :3

you still get bunch of games for a good price.
Cheap games for you, maybe a cent or two more for them.
