Do you let those types of games on your library or do you delete them? (you can talk more about it on the comments)
Yeah, but I think that they can always be put again into your library - I had deleted some games and through help.steampowered.com I managed to get them back in my library even after a year or more xD
They just keep track on when and how you bought/activated them if you're talking about paid/activated games of course and not free to play ones so..

Just fyi there is no list on Steam of games you've had removed. So, just in case you do want to restore any later, make sure to write down in a text file or something the names of the games you've had removed.

You seem quite sure on what to do, so if you want to start and delete all those for-you-useless games just keep on detecting them, go to the Steam help page ( help.steampowered.com ) and start removing them all from your library! =P
I'm not a game collector, I want to have just games with cards and achievements (and that can be reviewed!! XD) so that's why I have like less than 2000 ones although I buy tons of bundles XD

I use Depressurizer to get Steam score/categories to more easily sort. It doesn't necessarily clear your 'trash', but it helps move on to better things more quickly.

I didn't know it had a program for that, I'll take a look :O
I mostly just "hide" the trash games that I got from my library. so I'm mostly thinking about the people that I share the library with, it must be really boring to pass 100 trash games when you're looking for some good ones T_T

Not sure if I am knowledgeable enough to help you, but that used to be more of a problem in the past. Some relatively recent updated fixed some of the issues I was having.
I do still see the issue myself; it does seem to still take a hit when there are games in your library that were removed from Steam.

Thanks for sharing. :) Will have to check it out.
In case anyone was interested, another site is this which can choose user/metascore/tags/features etc. Agree how helpful it is sorting things, helped me remove a couple hundred basically broken, old bundled/free games.

She's talking about deleting games, not comments. :p

One thing you can do is have a separate group in your library for SG wins. That way so long as you check which group a game is in before deleting it you wont have to worry about accidentally deleting any wins.

Just make a custom category for garbage games and put them in there. Or hide them from your library.

I delete them. Removes clutter. I'm not a game collector.
There are probably a bunch of games I'll never realistically play, but as long as they're games I would play with infinite time, I keep them.

I have a category called "Garbage" that I conveniently throw everything I hate into and keep minimized so that I never have to see any of it again.. Never knew you can actually perma-delete games from your account until stumbling upon this thread! :o

I'm in this boat as well, I got some early wins in here that I regret (just really bad games) and today I just enter giveaways of games that I know I would play. I'll just delete the trash games and leave these few that I won from here :P
Seeing the comments makes me realize that I won't regret this decision, so thanks!

I give at least a few minutes to every game in my library before deleting it. I never cared about how big my library was, but with so many good games to choose from I realized there were some I would never get around to (less interesting genres) unless I forced myself to play them. Some end up being fun enough that I changed my mind about deleting them, others that users on Steam really liked I ended up considering junk. Just keep in mind you paid for those games.

Mostly of the trash games that I own are from these random giveaways that always give the same bad games, so I problably won't have the "I paid for those" thing on my mind haha
But I get your point, I think I'll try some of them as well before just deleting it, maybe they could be fun and I'm just judging by the cover, who knows? Thank you!

Small lady :D
But as others already wrote - you can delete games easily. But licenses will stay tied to your account. So making list of games you removed is enough for an backup. They can be easily recovered later via Steam Support by picking "Game is not on my account" option.

Even with tons of junk, my Steam library is like 10 orders of magnitude easier to browse than my NAS, so... πππ

I went from 2300 to 900 games and I highly recommend doing it.
Steam recommends me way less trash now; I still kept the cards and badges; it's easier to find stuff I wanna play in my library, you can easily get them back, if you want/need; etc
I'm not stupid to pass all these bonuses just to keep a meaningless number.

Good afternoon (?) people!
I don't really make posts on the forum, but I was thinking about something that I would like your opinions on :D
Atm I must have 500 + - games on steam, at the begigning I just cared about getting more games (even if trash ones) to increase that number, but today I'm realizing that this games just pollute my library and makes it harder to find the good games (at least for the people that I share the library with) so I was thinking about asking the support to remove a lot of my trash games, more or less 100
What are your thoughts about it? Not about what I should do, but about the "delete/not delete bad games"?
Thank you :3
EDIT: Guys, I know that I can hide them from my library (they are hidden now), I'm mostly thinking about people that I share the library with, you know? It's a lot of garbage to go trought (in order to find good games) that don't really have a good reason to be in there :P
