I recently made my own build and i discovered a few facts
Processor should be intel
It doesn't matted if GPU is radeon or something else, all you have to make sure is that it has at least 4Gb of ram and enough cooling power (mine has 3 fans)
32gb of RAM is a life-saver
Need SSD for main drive
My cooler is the http://www.scythe-eu.com/en/products/cpu-cooler/mugen-max.html
Weights 720g, motherboard didn't even notice.
Also takes 2 fans on, great cooling
I found this build which looks promising
http://pcpartpicker.com/guide/M2TwrH/long-lasting-computer
I suggest a few modifications
If you don't need a monitor, spend a little more on the PSU, i got EVGA SUPERNOVA 1000 G2 and it was one of the wisest choices i've made, i can use whatever i want and never worry if my PSU has enough power (full mod btw)
Check out Phanteks Enthoo Pro, it's the best case i've ever seen. It's a sturdy full tower which has plenty of space, a lot of spots for cooling fans (i have 2x 140mm in front, 1 x200mm and 2x 120mm on top, 2x 120mm at the bottom and of course a rear 120mm fan), you can modify anything you don't like (full mod) and it's really cheap compared to others (got it for 100 euros in my country)
3rd and last suggestion, you should get an SSD, preferably a Samsung evo or a Crucial MX100 (i got 512GB, you run out of space quickly but if your budged doesn't allow it, get a 120 or 240Gb and use the HDD for storing everything except games)

120 won't be enough for gamers, 240 is a hard struggle.
Windows 10 itself already take up 10 GB++
Plus all the drivers and essential softwares, we're looking at 20 GB++
I randomly pick some AAA titles from Steam store, here are the minimum requirements for disk space.
XCOM2 - 45GB
GTA5 - 65GB
The Division - 40GB
Rise of Tomb Raider - 25GB
You are gonna run out of disk space very. very. soon.
500GB is a more comfortable minimum.

Oh yes, it is. That case is a small ecstasy to build in, especially for that price. It is mildly difficult to get it though, demand seems to be a lot higher than supply.
(Plus, well, maybe not everyone wants a full tower that weights a ton on its own.)

I don't care how much it weights, it's the most roomy, sturdy and easy to build in case i've ever had ! The last case i had before that one (cant remember the name) barely had enough room, everything could be bent with a twist of my hand, cable management was a nightmare and one of the motherboard screws just broke when i put the motherboard on. Also i couldnt remove one of the drive cages so not enough room for a big GPU.

Time to build a new pc.
My current one is over 7 years old and it's starting to show signs of age (black artifacts, crashes, freezes, slow startup,. chrome complaining vista is no longer supported, etc)
I'm thinking of going around about 1200-1500 e as a budget.
Has anyone recently made their own PC, or do you have any actual good experiences with a store bought PC?
For the sake of images and background I put the full details of my intended setup here:
Also, does anyone have any experience with non stock CPU cooler weight?
I'm a bit unsure about the strength of the case+motherboard in regards to keeping a 1 kilo cooler suspended in midair.
