One of the only sources of tv news I still watch is PBS Newshour, and even that is rare.I always enjoyed the perspective of this journalist, however, and remember with respect her moderation of both VP and Presidential debates. I am a cynic when it comes to the media and the American political system, but I honestly think she tried to shed light on issues and on people in ways other journalists could not or would not.The death of this groundbreaking, Peabody Award-winning journalist is yet another sign that 2016 has been a terrible year. She passed away from cancer at the age of 61.
