Am I weird?
No, it isn't weird. The anime was fun to watch in certain parts, but it was below average in everything except for the music and animation. For example, anyone remember that guy that spouted English lines? His purpose in the anime was? Exactly, he didn't have one, just like most of the cast. A cast that is 'meh' will cause hardly anyone to shed a tear, even if you play sad music over it. The only part I really liked was the protagonists backstory, which was kind of short, but it had flavour.

Get chance and luck!
Honestly, he is the only one that I remember now.

I was moved learning Otonashi's backstory, but no tears. Rather, the ending regarding Otonashi and Kanade made me smile.

SPOILER ALERT: Only time I felt touched was when Hinata told Yui that he would marry her in real life. The ending was just okay, anime overall was a little over average but I think it had much bigger potential. Also I liked the alternative ending where Otonashi became the new Angel, not the one at the end of the last episode.

I was disappointed by this anime. I think someone told me it got canceled prematurely which is why it is the way it is but it really could have been something more. As it is it's rushed and kind of non-sensical. Nevertheless, I did enjoy the story for what it was. I didn't cry though.

i watched JoJo's Bizarre Adventures like 2 weeks ago and i did not cried, to be honest it's kinda "meh" because all characters are always saying something even if pretty obvious but the story was very enjoyable, Tengen Toppa and Robotic;Notes are the only mecha animes i liked because most of the others have the same story base
i haven't watched many old animes because... well... they are old xD so never watched Cowboy Bebop either but if someone cried for it i might give it a try! :D
edit:. just watched your spoiler, i remember that scene and i almost cried as well, dammit caesar!

Well, thing is, I'm reading JoJo's manga right now, and it's way better than the anime (At least in my opinion). I don't know, honorable deaths always get to me for some reason. Gotta love Speedwagon saying obvious things all the time :P.
I personally like the older stuff better, to be honest. Cowboy Bebop is usually considered a masterpiece, and according to some review I watched a few months ago, it's loved by most people, but I've seen some guys (who I hope were trolls) complaining about how it sucks because "It's short and stupid and Dragon Ball is the only masterpiece in anime, and Evangelion sucks because it tries to be deep when it should only have fights."

i actually quit watching Evangelion because as i said i dont really like mecha and it was on television a loooooong time ago and i don't want to watch it again but the story is not bad at all (and now the into music is stuck in my head again xD) but we can look at parasyte that is a very old manga and far now it's pretty awesome
also for those trolls there's only one thing i can say (since i am a troll myself) Equality ends when someone talks badly about any anime i enjoyed

Agreed. Thing is, I don't mind people having different opinions than mine. I mean, I totally disliked Shingeki no Kyojin, I think it had a lot of potential and they wasted it by making Eren a titanshifter, but I don't care if other people like it or not, it's just my opinion.

Eh, not so sure about crying. Maybe laughing like a maniac when all of the characters start crying simultaneously.
It is a pretty good anime though.

No, that scene just had some really bad direction.

Way to cherry pick. Glasslip is the only anime by PA Works that you could really consider horrible. Sure, they churn out some average shows, but there isn't an anime studio in existence that hasn't put out a stinker or two. In recent times, Hanasaku Iroha, Nagi no Asakura, Uchouten Kazoku, etc were all quite good.

I only kinda cried xD and when you really think about the story, it's not that sad xP but it's still a good story, imho

For sure ^_^ and definitely play the VN, especially since it's officially coming to English translation and on steam this year.

And didn't cry. I cry over pretty much everything I play, read or watch and Angel Beats didn't even make me feel sad. Is this weird?
