I already rather beaten also backup, cause it looks like Atomicrops doesn't have a story. All story is "survive for year". And after that you just replay that year when you increase difficulty, but apparently it adds nothing new, same areas to visit, same bosses, same quest from major...

Hi, for Atomicrops, it is allowed for the event and I'm looking for "New Year Lotus". I try to be lenient when it comes to the requirements and if there is a case to be made, I'm willing to consider it. The problem comes down to whether or not I get the time to make a decision that gives the person enough time to pick something else.

I have played the first two entries: they were alright, even pretty good. After playing: The tombs in this "Tomb Raider" are the best in the series. Honestly, they went hard on them. And more the wonder how aggressively bland were the plot and characters. The writing was so bad that it killed the joke that this version of Lara Croft is secretly a psychotic maniac. Now everyone is a little bit "off", on the spectrum. You can't even make fun of it. you just want to skip it. |
| Ghostwire: Tokyo / Started on April 13th / Finished✔ on April 24th Hero of Shibuya (Complete the main story after transferring at least 100% of the spirits in the city). | Before playing: Tango Gameworks was making a turn from The Evil Within to Hi-Fi Rush. In between there was Ghostwire: Tokyo. Interesting. After playing: As I was collecting 240k spirits 100 at a time, my opinion about this game oscillated from one extreme to another and back again. Out of spite I collected all that you can collect. And in the end I'll just say one thing: if you want to make a collectathon then simply copy Batman: Arkham Knight and not Assassin Creed. |

For some reason it is one of the most judgmental voices in my backlog. After playing: I was playing on "Goblin" difficulty just how developers wanted you to play. This difficulty makes any combat impossible, it's the purest stealth there is, that compels you to be creative and come up with "tricks". It's very rewarding. |

The idea that you can get the most by "minimum" somehow always felt right for me. The game is probably just a platformer and not so deep conceptually. After playing: From the first minutes I liked the game: fast-paced, right to the action and full of interesting mechanics that made me rewire some learnt ways about platformers. Probably the definition of a "hidden gem" for me. |
| Spiritfarer: Farewell Edition / Started on May 3d / Finished✔ on May 9th Let it go (Accomplish you very last objective). | Before playing: The game is said that it can break and then melt even the dead-est hearts. What is not said is that its length is surprisingly between 30 and 50 hours. Not sure how it works. Do I get my heart broken every hour or at the end? After playing: My heart got broken right away when I learnt it's a farming/management game, then came the "Hedgehog" moment and I had to forgive. But in the end I really got "got" by two things: "Mushroom boy" plotline and the fact that most of farming, mining and crafting were meaningless - you don't need so much resources. Not sure which out of the two made me cry more. |

Wow 2 months really flew by!
I did use the longer event to play a few games off my "too long to do in one month" list (and I did spend waaaay too much time on Sleeping Dogs because it was so much fun to play) but I haven't managed to fit all the games I was hoping for and I had to finish with 3 shorter games (although good ones)
X-Morph was a blast. I'll gladly play some more when I manage to figure out why the game hangs after a few waves in endless mode.
OlliOlli World is even more insane than the previous games! When I saw the rapidly diminishing completion rate on the global achievements stats, I knew I was in for an up-slope journey but I didn't think how steep it would be! Oy! I don't think I'll ever come close to 100% on this one and frankly my hat is off to the ones who have. They must have tentacles for fingers!
Sleeping Dogs, as I mentioned, was a lot of fun. I wasn't expecting to like it so much. I put it off for so long because it was a longer run but I made it last as long as I could and I left it only because I had other games I needed to finish before tomorrow. It's holding incredibly well when compared to more recent games, tbh.
The Excavation of Hob's Barrow was not bad at all. It never fails to amuse me when you see just how many achievements games have now. The more recent it is, the higher the achievements count lol. I was literally seeing an achievement pop every 2 mn on this one! And it's an adventure game so it's not like it's got a high skill requirement or anything. Talk to someone Cheevo Ping. Leave the room after the conversation Cheevo Ping xD
Planetary Annihilation is haaaaaaard but cool. I didn't like it as much as others of the genre but it was fun enough. Didn't really try co-op or team playing though so maybe it'd be more fun.

I had to look up a walkthrough quite a few times, which I don't enjoy doing. Combat gets a little stale after 20 hours of it. Story is ambitious but not rewarding for me. |

Luckily it does provide some shortcuts after a while, but it was still a lot of the same old thing. I probably wouldn't have finished this if it weren't for this monthly challenge. Definitely worth checking out! |

I made a ghost build that was a blast to play with. Minimal story with enough charm that it doesn't overstay its welcome. I recommend this game! |
| 5. The Pale Beyond / Dec 2023 / Bonded | 4/5. This one surprised me. It's a pretty good visual novel with resource management gameplay. The story and the characters were compelling, and even though I got 2 different endings I feel like there's a lot left in this game to discover. Even though it has quirks, I would recommend this if you're into these types of games. |
| 6. Tiny Tina's Wonderlands / Sep 2023 / At the Top of All Things | 3.5/5. I love Borderlands gameplay, but the writing and/or humor just doesn't hit for me anymore. Half way through I almost gave up, but I turned off the dialogue volume and was able to finish it. :D Early-mid game the enemies are pretty bullet-spongy, but once you get better loot and a good build then it gets a lot better. Overall a mixed bag, but I leaned towards liking it. I might even continue playing the endgame content. |

The challenge is simple: Play and beat any 6 games, starting today, that have been featured in any given Humble Monthly/Choice bundle in two months.
The prize: 2x Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT
Note: This means I'm giving away two copies of the game and will have 2 winners.
Game length does not matter and I'm not looking for 100% achievement runs. So long as you play and beat 6 games, I'm happy. You can go easy mode and play a bunch of 1h games or go crazy and play 6 +30h games. So long as they were in a monthly at a given point, it is all good.
Just post a comment with either screenshots/ achievements showing that you fulfilled the criteria and I'll add you on Steam and give you the link. Feel free to share your thoughts on the games you've played, but it is not required.

Why you doing this?
I hate money. That and I realized I've been subbed to the monthly for over eight years (yes it has been that long, I checked) and it occurred to me that I've barely touched the games I've gotten from it, let alone played them. Figured the same would be true for a few others, so I figured this is a good way to change that. A sensible person would probably unsub in this situation, but please refer to the beginning as to why that will not happen.
I've played the first X minutes of a game, can I pick it for the event?
No. You cannot have any play time or achievements prior to the start of the event. The only exception is idle time from farming Steam cards.
Can I play a MP only game?
No. It needs to have an "end" in order for me to count it as beaten, so it needs to have a campaign/story mode.
If a game was sold as a non-Steam copy in a bundle (origin/uplay/drm-free/etc), can I pick it as a choice if I own a Steam copy?
No. The reason being that those who own a Steam copy would have an extra option that would not be available to everyone who bought the same bundle. If the game was originally sold as a non-Steam copy, but Humble later provided steam keys to everyone who bought the bundle, then the game would be allowed.
Why six games?
The first few monthlies had 6/7 games in them so I went with that.
How long are you going to do this?
Until my credit card statements gives me nightmares.
This event "ends" on June 4th when the next next HB Choice releases, though the giveaway itself will end the next day. If you manage to finish game number six in between that time, feel free to post, but know that I cannot guarantee that I'll be able to give you the link in time.

First, sorry for the late thread, been busy :/.
Broke a personal rule by making the prize a preorder title. Made the exception because it is currently the top wishlisted game on the site, it is a PC port of a popular game and Nixxes Software is working on it. Here's hoping it doesn't bite me in the ass
As mentioned before, I'll be unavailable from the end of April till about mid May.
