I have ATS but haven't started it yet, do I stand a chance? Do I have to own a truck? In the last ETS2 event own truck was required and I bought a garage in France to make things a bit easier, I couldn't do it if I was just starting the game - just wondering if it's the same here.

Started today got a credit bought the cheapest Truck did 1 Delivery 40000 lb lasts 1 Hour .
i dont know if you Need a own Truck but i got one so you can test if it works with an not owned Truck

Sorry I deleted my question as I realised that of course I'd need my own truck because it's a World of Trucks event. Well maybe I'll try, but in ETS2 it took me a lot of time to get my own truck. Didn't think of getting a credit though, so thanks for the hint!

Take a loan.. They offer it instantly I think. Im not sure how big is the sum they give for the first time. But overall they give 400k biggest loan.

I suppouse this is what you wanted ? Basically you can set this as background in the game. Where its garage by default..
I actually didnt know you can change these backgrounds at all. :D Went on settings because of this event and saw that there are 3 backgrounds there already..

Multi-trailer Logistic
Goal: In American Truck Simulator transport a total of 300.000 lb of cargo using only Double Trailers. For every delivery, the destination city must be different. Only deliveries with planned trip distance over 100 miles are eligible.
Reward: Exclusive World of Trucks achievement as well as beautiful, unique and atmospheric sunset background surrounding your truck in the main menu of American Truck Simulator. (rewarded as tradeable and marketable Steam inventory item).
The event will last until December 3, 2017. Latest game version is required for participating in the event.
